I don't have long term review, just clicked about 5k miles after install, but is doing great. I've done some really sketchy driving and can't say anything bad, no difference in feel between it and steel line. Been checking line condition, joints for leaks, fluid level, etc. The lines are great so far.

Running the lines/bending/flaring is a cake walk. It bends smooth and is soft enough to manipulate by hand if needed. If you do get it, run double flares as single doesn't want to seal well, tubing is thinner than steel.

I was going to comment on your front tee fitting, I went with something a little more fun.

Okay so I do like your version of the "T" just a little bit better then mine and honestly I had never thought about till just now. I am going to do my best not to make that upgrade as well. I like the idea of the lines being a little bit easier to bend and thankfully I feel like I am done with the lines (except for maybe a post or two) so I am going to move on to the next projects.

Not Going to lie bending these lines scares me (( 11-27-20 ))

As the title says I am a little bit nervous trying to remake these lines.

My plan is to take the existing line and straighten then bend it like it needs to be since I moved things around a little bit.

Thank you and when I’m done doing all of this plumbing I’m sending my tools to Carter Hickman so he can use them on his blazer build and they will be out of my garage. It has been a fun re-learning (is that even a word ) experience but it has also been very time consuming.

Since the rear line didn't match I remade it so it would. (( 11-28-20 ))

Using some the bend templates that I made helped to make this a much easier project.

I wanted to link the lines together so I will be using the Knotchead line clamps. A quick trip to the local Ace Hardware to pick up
some hardware and while I was there I scored a couple Hot Wheels Syclones. I also stopped a Dairy Queen for a Blizzard.

That’s what I used to plumb my ‘73 Z28 front and back... I agree no difference in feel with steel and the bends are smooth, it also polishes up nice if you want that look. I used brake line spring guard to protect it under the car. Wouldn’t hesitate to use it again.

Throttle Bracket - Still playing around a ((11-28-20))

Trying to make this bracket a little leaner.

I think if I trim it down to something like this and get it anodized black it will blend right in. Before I trim it down I need to get a new Lokar throttle cable.

      Radiator ((11-29-20))

I want to hide as many wires as possible so the horn wire will sneak behind the core support. I used a piece of door edge guard to protect the wires.

little bit of an overkill to crimp and solder but what the heck why not.

Moving on to the Kicker Bluetooth Stereo

I tried to make the trunk a little more comfortable for me back.

I need to run a 3.5mm extension up to the center console and the cable for the controller which will be mounted in the lower dash or center console. I won't decide that till I figure where the cup holders are going to go.

Is it? That's how I routinely connect wires. Solid wire crimps, wire sticking out both sides of the crimp, solder over it all, then heat shrink over that. I even put heat shrink on ground wires, but that's more for appearance than anything else.

There is no need for solder if the crimp is done properly.

Heh heh, no worries. I just feel like I get a better connection when the wire and connector are tinned together.

But, I may need to rethink this. The military trained me to solder, but that was in a non-automotive field. This says the military won't use soldering for vehicles. But, I'll never give up using bare connectors and separate heat shrink, built-in heat shrink almost always gets damaged during crimping.

Holley Sniper Fuel Line -6 (12-03-20)

As you all know I have some issue's and the line that came with the intake doesn't match the rest of the lines. I had considered just wrapping it with the Tech Flex wrap to make it look like the rest of the lines. However, if you run the line under the Throttle Body it is to short and it pulls on the fitting really hard and just doesn't make me feel good. So I am going to make a new line that looks like the rest of the fuel lines.

My goal is to keep the car looking like an old car and not hiding all the wire. However the goal is to make the wiring look clean and like it belongs where it's at and look kinda cool while you are looking at it.

Since I had no desire to run to the hardware store I cut one of the bolt so it would only go as deep as the DSE Wiper bracket. This was my grandfathers vise and I can't thank my buddy Ben enough for making the mobile cart and removable vise mount. I love seeing this vice every time I am working out in the garage. It brings back some great memories of working with my Grandpa and Uncle Tony in the garage when I was a kid.

Things I am considering Wilwood Electric E-Brake (12-19-20)

So way back when there was a Sema Show I saw this really cool electric e-brake kit. I am going to have to talk with Tobin and see what he thinks and if he has a bracket as I have no interest in creating a bracket.

Test fitting the coolant lines and AC lines so the inner fender had to go back on the car.

I also re-ran the battery power but it will have to be shortened so I can add a cut off switch.

and of course I accidently found the lost washer for the door latch that I dropped a couple weeks ago. Good thing I took my shoes off in the garage after one of my rides and stepped on it with my heal. Ouch !!!

Making Good Grounds - Hopefully ((12-20-21))

So my goal is to have really good grounds throughout the chassis and the body. After spending sometime watch HP Performance wiring video's I am going to take what I have learned and apply it to the car.

The Ground from the battery runs directly to the stud on the block and I have added a ground strap that goes from the stud to the subframe.

Of course all the tools came out for this little project.

Not a lot of room to swing a hammer.

Thankfully the drill fit in the gap perfectly.

I used plenty of oil while I was tapping the hole as the last thing I want to do is figure out how to get out a broken tap.

Once all of the wiring is complete I will remove the tape and remove a little bit of the powder coating under the ground strap. I will also change the bolt that is holding the ground strap.

Mocking up how the ground wire will run back to the battery.
