I'm using Moser 30 spline axles in my 8.5.

Not sure about the rear discs off an s10...no experiance with those. I know a lot of people use the rear ls1 brakes though.

I am planning on using the ridetech front Tru-Turn set up and also hope to use the new UMI G Body front suspension set up at some point. I will test both to see what best fits my driving style.

Hey doug, hang in there. It will all come together. Besides, if it was easy, everyone would be doing it. I attached a pic of my monte that has been a labor of pain for the last 18 years of my life. But i wouldnt trade any of it. All the suspension work has been done, with a lot learned form your thread(thank you, seriously), but i have one nagging problem that you seem to have fixed. Your inner fender liners...early on you had cut them, but now it looks like you hAve some stock replacements. You claim they dont rub even with the 275s up front. I have 245s and im hitting on the passenger side where it pinches in for the ac box(thats all gone now) and the battery tray. Whats your secret? Ones for a regal, or cutlass work better?

Found the wheel & tire information. Are you still running a spacer, as I see you were before you upgraded to the baer brakes? Also any updates on the car?

I am using the stock inner fenders but I cut them across the middle so they flex more. Thats about all I did....no rubbing at all on full lock.

I got the rear end back...all I have to do now is paint it and determine what I will be using for my LCA relocation brackets. I hear UMI is coming out with some trick stuff soon............

The rear is a GM 8.5" 10 bolt with 30 spline Moser Axles, Tru Trac Diff, 3.73 Yukon Gears, Inland Empire 1350 forged yoke, a LPW Ultimate 10 Diff Cover and the UMI Performance Roto Joints. This is a bad mofo.

I decided to pull the motor in order to swap out oil pans...and this quickly turned into me taking the motor to a machine shop to rebuild since I only had 4 psi of oil pressure at idle.....sooooooooo

So I went to the machine shop tonight to talk about the motor. Remember I had 4psi of oil pressure at idle and this is why.....everyone of my main bearings was destroyed and the crank main journals were so worn that they looked like a mountain ridge. Nasty!!!!

Have you radius'ed the entries to the oil drainback holes at least in the cylinder heads and at the back of the block?

That will probably happen depending on the cost.

Looks like we have matching rears except I know we are running different disk brakes. You'll love the tru-trac its smooth as butter! I don't think they like sythetic fluids though, might want to check on that before you fill it.
