So back in March 2015 I decided to make the twelve hour trip to ridetech in Jasper Indiana to participate in the 48 Hour Corvette build. When I got there I was just overwhelmed by the whole deal. I helped out with the social media side of the build and I even helped out on the car a lil bit. This was a great trip and it really inspired me to get my car done!!! Can't thank the entire crew at ridetech enough for all their hospitality!!!

My first view as I walked in the door.....

Got my own name badge....HOW COOL IS THAT??!!

Doug, I'm new to this site and just wanted to say: this is an absolute beast of a build. I recently purchased a 1985 SS that I (hopefully) will be starting on soon. I've got to finish up the current project(55 Chevrolet pickup ratrod sitting on a G-body frame.. Quite an undertaking.). I hope to end up with something similar to what you've done on my SS. Your car has given me a lot of inspiration and motivation. I'm sure I'll end up asking a lot of questions.

With that being said, Do you have any updates on the car? Pictures of the new suspension in place?

These are the pics from my "build day" back on 4/4/15. I had the shop stocked with supplies and all ready for the work. I had the gbody dream team come over (Joe Duffy, Adam Stelmack "sixtoes", Bernie Duplan "SickSpeedMonte" and my buddy Nick was taking pics and video) and we worked on the car all day and installed:

      - Motor including all accessories and cooling system
      - T56, shifter
      - Clutch
      - SSM Clutch Pedal
      - ridetech TQ coilovers

This is the GM part number for the stock LT1 hydraulic set up which is the clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder, line and reservoir. It come pre-bled and installs fairly easy with the SSM clutch pedal assembly. The Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch is a piece of artwork and performs even better than it looks!!!

So I have always wanted a removable steering wheel...so I picked up a Sparco Wheel with a Momo adapter and Sparco Quick Release. Let's just say that the Momo adapter is completely wrong for this application and so is the Sparco Quick Release. I did some looking around and found some people using a hub adapter and quick release from a company called Forever Sharp Steering Wheels. I got their set up and could not be any happier!!!! I highly recommend their products!!

Momo Hub vs. Forever Sharp Hub

Sparco Wheel with the Sparco Quick Release on it....I did not use the Sparco Quick Release

Here is the Forever Sharp Hub on the steering column.

While working on the rear of the car I decided to take some pics of the 3/4" frame notch to show you all.
