      Nice looking t56.

Did you add those 2 magnets on the bottom of the case?
Sparkles is my nick name from my SCCA buddies......long story that involves a blown motor in my Spec RX7...an after race party at an adult club...and waking up the next day at the track covered in glitter. That's all I have to say about that....

Those two magnets come in the T56...to pick up any metal shavings etc.

The Magnum Trans itself is $2850. The complete kit from American Powertrain was quoted at $5350 and that includes everything from them to bolt it in and drive away...everything.

The pic below is a simple list I came up with for the rebuild LT1 T56 I currently have all apart.

**Don't forget that it cost me $130 in beer to have it torn down and inspected by a reputable trans guy...and it will be another $130 in beer to have it put back together if I decide not to get it. The tear down was worth the $130 b/c I learned alot about these trans's during the tear down.**

I got my T56 Magnum for less than they told you. They don't have a crossmember, you still have to make one. I maybe have another $1000 in other parts after the transmission.

I'm happy with the deal that I got...plus I helped build it so I learned a lot about the internals of the trans. No complaints here.

If you are interested I have a console that I modified to run a T56. It's grey but in good shape. I had to replace the hinge with a piano hinge, but other then that it looks stock.

sooooooo...it's been quite a while since my last update. This winter has proven to be very uneventful for my Monte. It has been pretty much in storage all winter. I have had a lot of other cars in the shop and when I am not in the shop or at work I am usually out in the Goose blind. That will all end soon I hope as I have to get that T56 and new suspension installed to get ready for the upcoming season!!!

Here is a view of my car this winter.....

that is one thing I miss, now that I'm in Hawaii.
NOT the Cold!, the hunting and good eating out in the blind with guys.
why does our cooking in the blind make the food taste so good?

So....over the winter I bought this 2008 HHR SS to replace my old HHR daily driver that was totaled when I was rear ended on 10/10/13. I am now trying to sell it b/c I really need a truck more than this HHR. So please check out my add in the for sale section. It's a great lil car that is an amazing daily driver and will rip up an autox track or a track day!!
