      I was wondering about the rear seat myself with the 3-link. They did some test fitting yesterday/today it looks like.

      I also had asked about the rear tire, the reply was 335s, the fronts he would have to check on.

      I would be real interested in seeing how the packaging turns out for the rear-seat area.
      I conclude that tubbing is soon to follow, possibly some trimming to clear the UCA.
      About the front end: I hope they offer a set of wheel wells. That would
      allow fatter tires, and to run much lower than the stock plastic wells.

      The chassis is designed to fit 335's, as this was the tire spec'd by Holley. Because this is a track-day car, they weren't really concerned about the rear seat, but if some of the center seat springs are trimmed, the rear seat should be able to fit back down. However, you probably wouldn't want to be riding in the middle and hit a bump. This car is also getting a full cage, so accessability to the rear seat will be difficult.

      The chassis originally was a one-off reverse-engineering job for Holley. To be honest, I've been pretty blown away by the response that this chassis is getting on our FB site as well as on the forums.

      It is definitely something we can do again, but pricing hasn't been discussed for another chassis. Also, the spec on this chassis was pretty high - remote reservoir Penske's, splined sway bars, 3-link, Woodward rack + reverse engineering and design time.

      Now that we have the specs, I'm pretty confident that we could offer this chassis with either 3-link or tri 4-bar in the back and a few IFS designs up front. The tri 4-bar would definitely minimize sheetmetal removal in the back seat area as well.

      All of these questions will be addressed when it leaves our shop and heads down to Bobby Walden's shop in So Cal. He's finishing the car (or at least doing the sheetmetal work) for Holley.

      One thing to also remember -as per Holley's rendering, the wheelbase has been altered by 3 1/4" inches. They are moving the front wheels forward by this amount in the front fenders. IMO this makes the car look a lot better, and eliminates a lot of the front overhang on the nose. This wheelbase change is also going to do wonders on weight distribution. With a LS engine in place, the firewall is untouched and #1 cylinder is even with CL of the spindle. There is plenty of room to move the engine back so #1 plug or even the front of the engine could be made even with spindle CL. This wheelbase change also has done wonders for making room for the R&P and steering linkage.

      So glad to see a GP getting some attention. I still have plans to build my own one day.

      Craig, would the wheel base changes be needed to package the rack and pinion and really make a product that is worthy of the AME name or could you build a great frame that would fit under the factory sheet metal and appeal to more Gbody owners?

      Good Question! Rack placement is the biggest issue. If we were to use the suspension the we designed for the A body, maybe.

      It's an 87 GN T-top, and is stock with a few minor bolt ons that are barely noticeable to the naked eye, including the audio system.

      These cars are capable of major power, even using the stock motor, my valve covers have never been off even. Here's what the performance mods include, which with a turbo car unlock it's power potential because its all about timing and boost.

      For getting air into he car:

      * bigmouth style cold air intake with KN filter outside he engine compartment in ambient air.

      * 25psi boost controll solenoid.
      * Power plate spacer that helps the increased airflow and stops the back pistons from running lean.

      For the ignition:

      * Chip burned to increase timing and work with methanol
      * injectors calibrated for increased flow
      * high output fuel pump
      * fuel pressure regulator
      * Methanol injection system, the factory coolant reservoir has been moved to behind the bumper and a new stock OEM one is used. (you can see he braided stainless steel line going up on he left side of he intake, that's for the methanol)

      For the exhaust, the blow part:

      * 3" down-pipe from he outlet side of he turbo
      * high-flow cat convertor
      * aluminized steel tubing with flowmaster mufflers

      The reason you use methanol is for cooler engine operating temps and safety.
      I could not run 25psi of boost (almost tire pressure) and then compress it in he motor w/out worrying about pre-ignition or detonation, which can blow the motor apart.
      The computer uses the MAP sensor to turn the spray on progressively a 10psi, so when I'm putting around, just using vacuum and not turbo pressure, I not only get excellent MPG but I don't use the alcohol at all.

      It's probably a high 11 second car on a track with sticky tires, like it sits now, low 12's should be easy... which blows the doors of most sports cars on the road today, here's a Dodge viper getting whipped by not one, but two GN's simultaneously.
      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlvo8J7ZBds

      ---- as for the stereo --- that's even more difficult to explain but I'll make it brief.
      I've added a few things:

      1. 91 GMC CD player (since GN's only came with cassette players)
      2. 1/3rd octave trunk mounted EQ that allows me to tune he car digitally and control an iPod.
      3. 600watt alpine amp under the front passenger seat.
      4. pair of Focal high end neodymium mid-bass drivers in the doors in custom vinyl enclosures to look exactly like the factory concert sound speaker pods.
      5. Image Dynamics waveguides under the dash for mid-treble that puts the sound stage up on top of the dash and separates the stereo image equally across the car.
      6. the sub-woofer, is a vintage Polk audio C4, with 4 6x9' sub-woofers in a push-pull compound isobaric 3 chamber bandpass enclosure, it is very small and looks good in the trunk and only weighs 28 lbs but has the output of a pair of 12" sub-woofers. http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=107642

      haven't posted on the site in a while but just want to update on my g-body.
      My Cutlass is now powered by a 430hp 355sbc with a lame little t-5 ... which i haven't decided if I'm going to rebuild it with a g-force kit or just go with a t-56...
      I'm currently building a 383 that will be on boost for this car by then I'll most likely have my mind made up about the transmission..
      but for now i have a lot on work on my hands between body work and suspension...but this is how it sit now..

      color of the motor is somewhat the color i want to paint the car..

      painted the bay..

      still got a lot work ahead, but slowly getting there

      Alot of the MCSS.com guys know me.

      Im finally digging deeper into the performance side of the house. I was on here awhile back but didn't have the means to build a ride like I want, until now.
