This is my '85 Monte SS, I plan on upgrading to C5 brakes all around this winter and this forum looks like the place to get all the details.

I've had my car for 10 years and have been improving it each year:

      Vortec 350, 375 horsepower
      Hotchkis suspension
      Art Carr transmission
8.5 rear end with 3.73 gears
      17" Torque Thrust Wheels

runs 13.8 @ 100mph all day long in street trim

      1985 Monte Carlo SS
ZZ383, Extreme Automatics 2004r, SC &C stage II suspension, 17" wheels
      13.83 @ 100 mph (with previous 350 engine)

      Howdy
I have an '81 and '78 Malibu. The '81 is a bit of a junker body-wise, but I put a mild 350 (Vortec heads, GMPP intake, Edelbrock carb, Comp XE268H cam, headers) in it, and it's currently got a Saginaw 3-speed (3.50:1 1st gear) with 2.29s in the 7.5". I also have a set of Hotchkiss springs, Belltech drop spindles, 34mm F-Body sway bar, F41 frame braces in the front, and a stock G-Body rear sway bar.

The '78 is more the project. I haven't done anything with it yet, but plans include a 6-speed, LS motor, 17" somethings, low, tight, etc.
