I like that your garage floor looks like mine....including the random tools and crusty stuff that has fallen off the car. Are you going to run it by the "Volvo lady" on South Fraser once it is on the road?

Ya that's when I know i'm making headway.....when you can't see the floor or find any tools. What does the Volvo lady do?? Ive seen it but never been in.

She is a re-sellers of used Volvos....She used to be the Abbotsford "Docksteader Subaru/Volvo" dealer before they pulled her license and stopped selling them in town. I think she really likes the older Volvos.

Quick update....been driving it, been smoothing 1/4 panels, and finally got some flares on.....pic is in grayscale to take away from the distraction of primer and paint on the car. Still a bunch more fitting, and trimming of the flares but its nice to not see so much tire!

I just made a deal on this tonight....

450hp /415ftlbs Toyota 2UZ out of a desert race truck. This one is fresh, the class it was in was a spec class, so it has a low compression ratio, and they had a rev limit of 6000rpm. The motor builder said there is lots more power if you could spin it to 7000. These motors were $20,000 each when new.....I got 2.5 of them for a song....

I will change it back to EFI and run a Haltech on it. Should be fun!!!

I decided that I officially ran out of talent. I bought these on EBAY for $270 shipped for 4. Now I can move on.

This is such a sick build, why not just run a 2JZ out of a supra?? you can make mindless ammounts of horse power for the amounth of money you spent on the V8's

I really don't like inline 6's. Don't like the sound, the length, etc etc. I don't disagree they are great motors, but not for me. ;) I've spent way less on both my V8's combined than it would cost to boost a 2JZ and get the same power.

Congrats! I like your style and from an import side of this, everyone uses a 2JZ. Im pumped to see a video and pics of this car once the motor is in!. I feel like it would be bad ass if you used the headers on the motor pictured and have them come out the fenders, also id wrap them with that DEI titanium heat wrap for the extra cool look ;)

every forum I'm on, there's always that guy who has to say 'put a 2JZ' in it...

seriously, I love reading about out-of-the-ordinary builds and swaps, this Volvo is awesome!

LOL Same here...But if you look at the import/drift scene....most of the pro's have switched to big V8's.
