Looks like darker is liked more. I like them both but my customer will have to pick in the long run. I know he liked the darker when it was in the can but will see. As soon as it clears up outside Ill get you guys some better shots.

Well its not rainning and the sun is out so took a few pictures of the test panel.

I worked on getting the tailgate a little smoother. I took the old stock ears off were the chains hook so I can install hinden latches inside the bed.

I also made some cap's for the sides of the tailgate so It would not have that stock hole in the side. I dont think most people will notice but better then that ugly old hole.

I also reworked some new shakles for the rear springs.

Well today I was able to get under the steps primed and under coated. I used the stuff by 3M and it cam out really well and its very easy to spray. Now I can finish working around the trans area and then spray it.

Im pretty sure the customer is going with the darker. I think It will look good on this truck too. From what we have talked about I think we will have 18''s polished or chrome all around or 18's front and 20's rear.

New body bushing's came in today. I was able to set the cab down and see how much I would have to cut the floor for the trans. There will be a custom console in the middle so nothing hurt here. You can see by the pictures I like to keep everything tucked up for more ground clearance.

Next thing was to get the rear end setup. I want the back down a little more so I cut off the perches and put them on the bottom(flipped axle). Ill have to go back and C-notch the rear and box it in but thats ok. Only thing left is to set the angle and get some nice shocks and get the gas tank here.

Made a little progress today on the rear. I made some boxing plates & C-notch's.

      BEFOR:

      Cutting out my boxing plates.

      Welding and grinding down.

I tried not to grind back to much because the frame is powder coated and Im going to have to spot back in.

AND AFTER ALL IS SAID AND DONE:

Yes, and it had 3 smaller ones that were helper or load springs that were not needed.

Personally I would go a step more and box in the radiused part that the axle goes up in to. Not much more work and will make it 10x stronger there.
