Well I know its been awhile but wanted to keep you guys posted some. The new addition is moving along very good now. We are wirring the new paint booth as I type. I did go out in the shop today and made a patch for the truck cab, really just having fun. I used my english wheel to bend the panel a little then welded it on. I should be getting back on this thing full time really soon.

Man, what a cool project, I love the classic trucks.
Is that a crate engine? I'm in the market for a new motor for my mustang. Can you tell me a little about your motor & tranny?

      Thanks,
      ~Chris

      Thanks,
Thank Benoit23, Yes its a crate GT40 with SVO heads and a EFI intake. The trans is a new crate AOD also. Ive never used a crate GT40 so untill I get the thing running not much I can tell you. As far as the trans goes I use them in my 53 f100 and love it. Ive got 173,000 and I just stated to feel a little slip the other day but not bad. My motor is a 302 roller like this one and its built and the trans has held up great. When I get the wiring and computer setup Ill give some more info on it.

Well sorry for the delay in updates. I’ve been out of town for the past 2 weeks and still working on the paint booth and office were adding on. I did knock out a few rusted out spots on the cab corners and have started welding up holes in the fire wall. Im not going to install the patch panels till I get the rust out from behind. I hope to have my new floor pans in this week so I can finish this up.

      I hate rust.

Finaly got some time to work on the 63 today, seems like all I keep finding is rust. I did get to test fit the new side step. Few pictures, Ill get better ones tomorrow.

After treating the rust and getting everthing cleaned up I made a new patch for the inside.

Thanks Motown454, Ive almost got the driver side done. I think its starting to look better now, just have to get the new floor brace and pan set in. Then it starts all over on the passanger side

Thanks, Its been a pain to get the new floor pans to fit. Ive still got to make some strips around the outside edge to make up for what metal they dont give you. In the pictures you can see how bad the floors fit, but after some cutting and welding its starting to take place. Should have this side done tomorrow.

What does the squiggly lines/marks do for the floor pan you just installed?

It was just kinda dirty like then cleaned after welded and the marks are now in it...

It's just been clean with a 3in scuff pad then cleaned with wax/gress remover.

little update today, got the door put back on just to make sure the front cab mount didnt move on me. Looks to fit up pretty good, floors line up good, so I moved on to the other side. Nothing new over there but rust and a rats nest...lol Hmmmm that would almost make this a rat rod wouldnt it........

Well the bed came in today so I had to get it out and take a few pictures. Also finished the floor on the passanger side. Hope to get this thing on the frame soon.
