The Aero speaks for itself. Here's me waving at the Radar guy at nearly 170 mph, on a truck worn 2 lane road with a 10 mph cross wind.

For Comparison, this is what a C5 Z06 looks like at about the same speed through the same trap in 2008:

Check out the distances between the top of the tire and the fender lip.
How does the hood stay that flat at those speeds? The hood on my old elky looked more like that Vette's hood at speeds above 90.

This is really cool to see a rare car getting beat on. I've been around cars all my life and I've only seen about 4 2+2 GP's. All of them were either pampered or in a museum.

I believe the extractors on his hood are functional thereby relieving the underhood pressures that were forcing the hood up on your elky.

Which is why I'm going to run vents like these... in the other post he says how much heat escapes out of them too....

We run hood vents from an '89 GP that I opened up with a Dremel tool for more airflow. Otherwise its the stock hood.

The big aero inprovements in front we made were covering the top grill openings with block off plates and the deep core support airdam made from Conveyor belt rubber. We also had to reinforce the factory air dam because it would fold under the car at speed.

I was going to make headlight covers and a large front airdam at the front bumper, but it never needed them.

In back, we had to put small steel "L" brackets to hold the bubble window down, because the back edge would lift up 1" off the seal at speed. This might be a problem on an SS Aerocoupe if you try to run it above 150 or so.

Nice GNs guys! 275s up front, woohoo! Are they 18's or 19s? Check my build thread, I have 255s on 9.5s up front, but I couldn't get them tucked like yours because of the tie rod ends. What's your secret? The AFX spindles?

part of the equasion is the AFX spindles but the only modification i make to the front was to move the factory brake line mounting bracket the other KEY is the shape of the control arms, we make the control arms clear the hi back space wheels, my car has 18 x 9 with 6" Back space on the front the 275 do touch the frame when the wheel is cranked but what ever

Did you do a frame Notch and mini tub to get the wheel and tire combo to work?

No & no frame notch and no mini tubs. had to trim about 3/8 off the outer wheel well lip thats it. the rear rims have a 5" BS now i also changed to ford housing ends and narrowed the housing a bit and then used spacers to fine tune the width. the finished wheel mounting surface measurement is 57.5" if i recall.

      Great looking GN's, Killer69 and monges87.

This is my DD T-type. It's a little "old tech", but still scares BS'ers. Best ET was 11.53@118 on DR's, but I've ported the heads added a cam and larger injectors since then. It has B-spindles, 12" brakes and Hydroboost. I love the brakes, but am not crazy about the bump steer.

Flofit seats were installed by the Dealer in 1986. I recovered them in the factory fabric back in the 1990's. My dad added the Armrest/cupholder. It's held in place with Magnets hidden inside the glovebox lid.
