Got a tremendous amount of work done the past few weeks.

The “punch-list” is down to a handful of small items.

Had to swap radiator due to leak found. Was able to get a good swap on a sharp C&R. Had to make a new fill tank for it but in the end worth the effort. Also in the "better-to-find-out-now category" also had to get two new batteries.

Car is now at body shop for small touch ups and full buff/polish. Also redoing the Lexan for a better fit.

From there spoilers go on, some small wiring details, 3M clear install at various locations, install of new batteries and mounts, horn install, and a small list of various other tasks.

Will be doing road tests and shake downs first week of March.

Wicked psyched for the Run to the Shore event on April 2nd.

Look forward to seeing many of you there.

Spoiler after polish and 3M kit.


Lower fender at rocker to be painted black.


Basic black door and side panels.


No protrusions on the door panel.


Seats re-wrapped.


Interior guy was great. Anyone need his number in NC just shout.


New to me radiator in place. Had to relocate the overflow from L to R.


Matched a second tank for the radiator fill.


The light up switch came from a computer store - operates the door poppers.

Hey Wes,

The door popper button has a halo that lights up green....trick little suckers they are. Found them on a computer parts website for like 10 bucks.





Used a S2000 start button in red on the dash.

Nice to see that beautiful car out in the sun light. Doesn't it seem like they are going to be trapped in the garage forever? The exterior of this car is cooly understated, for as radical a beast that it is! One of my favorite builds. Ron

You said it Ron....................literally years have gone by building my dream car.........so many ideas and plans changed along the way.......so many areas of the car started one way, then ended up another.........I soldiered on with my builder all this time as he switched shops not twice, but three times during the construction...................plus all the ups and downs of regular life..............I got real sick four years ago and the last thing on my mind was finishing the car.....thankfully fully recovered now, but health issues will put your life in perspective real fast and make you realize as much as we love our hobby, these are just cars.......and lastly the whole money thing..........never ever thought I would go as far as I did on the cost side of things.....many late nights on the computer I have debated over "Hmmmmm, buy a new pair of boots to replace the ones I have with holes in them or buy that sharp set of anodized AN fittings???? What to do???".............in the end I can say it was worth all the sacrifices and challenges..............although doubt I will build another car to this degree again......................although I did see a certain 68 Charger down the street from me with a "For Sale" sign on it.....wonder how much he wants for it??.............and the cycle begins again!!!!!!
