I have had good luck with the hammertone.

Light coats for a smoother (less hammer) finish or heavy coats for lots of hammer!

Ordered some parts yesterday, I will post pics next week.

Also, I have a few things to do to get ready for GG del mar on April 5th. I hope I can get them done. If not I will be watching.

Found out I have some slop in my low friction ball joints. Too much slop for me, time for upgrades. I will be going to a sperical bering instead and have some roll center and camber gain adjustments. But this change will put out for GG del mar.

      Everyone likes car part porn!

And that should stiffen things up a little.

Now I am trying to get this ride height:

The 510 ran in SU and ran a 55.339. He had a small block ford in there.

I need a bigger sway bar to reduce body roll. I think there is some daylight on the inside tire acclerating out of a turn.
Very cool, Bryce--if I saw a picture of my car with that much roll, I'd kick another dent in it. Seriously though, it's awesome to see you accumulating the data in action. I told my wife that if I did the electric steering thing, and it worked, I'd try an auto-x this summer. Here's to maybe finally getting the wiring done this week.

Edit point: Walt Hane/EPS likes body roll, and his cars kick big booty, so there's that...

510 + Ford V8: That is inarguably cool, yet seemingly free of any traction. Sounds like a good time, though--good luck with the routing of the swaybar ends!

I think EPS runs cars with bias ply tires. I have never raced on bias ply tires, but I think they need a lot of weight transfer and "lean" to work properly.

Hey Bryce, when you had the mustang wheels on your car did you have any spacers to make them fit? I recall seeing that you have a wider front suspension than stock but I just wanted to ask what you were running to make those wheels fit. Thanks.

I was running a 1/2" spacer front and rear. My front wilwood brakes move the wheel mounting surface out 3/8". I think you need to end up with a 4.25 to 4.5" backspace with stock suspension/brakes.

      Anytime Eddie.

      Now time for upgrades:

The new bar is twice the siffness and the same weight. But I will be cutting the arms off shorter and adding speed holes. I ordered the 32" bar, 1.25" OD and 3/16" wall thickness. The old bar was a solid 1.125" OD. The 32" bar is the shortest bar available from speedway engineering but they will cut and re-spline any off the shelf bar for an aditional 40 bucks. That is very reasonable. An advantage of the shorter bar, the shorter the bar the stiffer the bar and the lighter the bar.

Now just to make it fit!

Right now the K-strut bar the frame and the sway bar want to occupy the same space. Somthing will have to move!
I ordered the arms splined and prebent with a 3.25" offset. It lines up perfect with my previously welded sway bar end link mounts on my LCA.

I have been sick for the last week, but I was still able to order parts.

These are aluminum hosing ball joints that will thread into my upper and lower control arms. This should give me a better, more precise pivot point. It also allows me to adjust my suspension. Add or remove shims from the LCA and raise/lower the car. Add or remove shims from the UCA and adjust camber gain. Also I can adjust roll center at the same time.

Mocked up the sway bar with a very quick and efficient way to locate the bar and arms. looks hokey in pictures though.
