I just read through the 99 pages of your build; quite inspirational. I wish my wife would let me spend that amount of time in the garage with our 18mth running around.

I give my wife a day to do what she wants, she gives me a day. Been working pretty well for us. Of course, it will take forever to get my car done at this rate.

I live and work in Afghanistan, for the past 8 years. Hope to get some big work the next trip home in July but I am gonna have to do some bribing.

Who are you with? I spent 4 years in Iraq, then 4 more in Afghanistan before escaping! LOL! For my reward, they sent me to NE Alberta Canada with -40*F winters!!

Hey guys, I have been getting a few PMs about car status.


I have made it to 8 SCCA events in CAM this year. The car and driver keep improving. I will post some videos in the next few days. and I will post up results for the events as well.

Our CAM class is all pre79 and we average 12 cars per event. This has made the class extremely fun and competetive. The event yesterday had places 2 to 9 within 1 second of eachother on a 50 second course.

Wow my lack of updates is unacceptable. I have made it to 10 events this year and a solid 3rd in points. I got my ATL fuel cell installed. I also bought new tires. Same falken in the back and the new hankook rs3 in the front. Wow. What a difference. The front has so much grip. The rear is always loose. Time to lower the rear roll center and add some aero.

The addition of the fuel cell was to make room for a diffuser.

That's a whole crate of updates, sir! Glad to hear those new tires are working out well. I'm not going to try and hide my hopes that you climb higher in the charts next year because of all your hard work.... and because I wanna see a Falcon leading CAM. =)

As the guy who was chasing you all season, I must say, you drove the wheels off that thing, 3rd out of 10-14 very fast cars is something to be proud of! I hope you finish second this year if we are in the same class...

Been having a biatch of a time posting new pix to my thread so I haven't been on the forum much lately; just caught up on your progress and as usual I'm awe-struck at your finesse and ability to fab.

Got a question for you: I'm curious if you know or can calculate the side loading each the five pivot points a Watts Link will see under load, especially the center? I'm asking because I'm using a Watts on my Fury (mine is mounted to the diff housing as opposed to the car) and I'm unsure how much reinforcing the center pivot point requires.

Any help would be appreciated,

Small update.

Switched over to the aeromotive in cell pump.
Building a splitter.
Redid the front alignment. Hopefully keep the front tires flatter.

Just finished reading all 100 pages, also just made an account so I could reply. I have gained so much useful information over the course of reading this epic thread, and so much inspiration on what I want to do with my car, plus with the crazy ideas I have I'm glad I found a knowledgable group of fun and helpful racers.
