      Ordering some new stuff today.

After lots of research, I determined I only broke the torque converter. I am still going to buy a 1000hp PA C4 with a lifetime warranty. I am also going to send them my valvebody so that they can modify it to a tranny brake this will give me a first gear lockup on decel. Since my old trans is good I will order a new input shaft and keep it as a spare or maybe sell it. The internals are all PA parts.

Hughes is going to build me a 9" torque converter that they spec as a road race converter. It will produce less heat and less parasitic drag and faster reving.

I will also be adding an auxillary fan to my trans cooler, maybe even a secondary cooler.

I will try to be there. Depends on when parts show up. I really want to have my power steering done before goodguys. Depends on what other speed bumps happen on the way.

      Bryce,

The car continues to get better at ever turn. I know how hard it is to juggle family and automotive passion.

Thanks Morgan, its been hard to find time for the car especially mixing 60 hour work weeks in with the family time. Its even hard to make phone calls when the east coast guys are closed at 2pm. HAHA.

Did you sell your mustang? If so does it live in san diego now?

Yep, cheaper and lighter than the cast pans too! Holds an extra quart without the large fins, that would really reduce my ground clearance.

Hughes is building me a custom torque converter for autocrossing also going with a 9". I would have liked to have gone 8", just could not justify the 50% price jump.

Im glade that your for the PTX class. If we get a good response we could write it in our Local San Diego rule book next year..or leave it up to someone like me or you and Tom.You pick how many events of the San Diego Region SCCA you and the PTX guys want to run.You organize a San Diego PTX autocross club and let us SDR-SCCA know your coming. This is if we don't have a established class PTX next year.

I wrote more into what I think a PTX car should be in the beginning tread update( San Diego Autocross)

Leave another comment if you like the idea at San Diego Autocross posting tread. .I'm sure some SCCA guys are checking to see how it's working out.

      Bryce,
Yes the Mustang sold the week it was listed to a friend tha was following the build. Its being stored in Costa Mesa at a friends shop till the guy that bought it moves into a new house. The car then will move to his new garage in San Diego.

putting te finishing touches on the motor then plan to list it for sale in the next week.
