Looks like it is coming along well. Beat on it, upgrade and beat on it some more. Best of everything. project that is always evolving and being driven while that is happening. I will get there some day with my fairlane.

Did you make that PS bracket? Was it very complicated to make? I'm curious as I have been looking at my block for ways to mount the dry sump pump

Its alomost done, not very complicated but a lot of thought went into it. One bracket will mount the PS pump and the alt on the drivers side. I am still running 2 V belts. I should have time to finish it up on thursday, I will post pictures then.

I have more fun building than driving, I think....

I like to find the weak link and fix it. But I cannot wait to start getting more seat time dodging cones.

pictures of the last mockup before final assembly.

My dad finished up these brackets for me since he has more time than I do, LOL!

The studs are temporary, I will be replacing them with B-7 threaded rod and spacers instead of the nuts. I still have 19 items on my to do list and that doesnt even get me power steering. Basically the last few months of work has allowed me to mount a power steering pump. In order to do that I need an eletric water pump and a new smaller higher amp alternator.

Same as my watts link, but with a wood bandsaw converted to cut aluminum, a 12" disc sander, a file and a drill. My dad made those slots with a drill, 3 5/16 holes, and filed the slot. It was a long tedious job.

Took the car for a drive today, first time a 3 months. I spent most of that time waiting for back ordered parts. But the electric water pump works great! The car stayed at 175 to 180*F during the drive tonight. FYI, I do not run a thermostat.

Now its time to do the power steering swap with my dad. My pump is in but I need his power assist ram and centerlink. Then I will probably re-design the control valve to get the feel I want.
