First off this build and ZuperZports Camaro are incredible. I noticed that you cut the door bars. How rigid is the car without them? Could you use the chassis without the bars? Are you planning on not using them or will they be added later?

The door bars jutted out about 6" past the frame rails so they had to be removed to slip the body over....Im going to add a second seat so the bars where the passenger sits were removed also.....I spoke at length with the team owner I bought the car from and he said they build "ride along" cars with a pass seat, they run them at race speeds and theres "no difference" in handling (good enough for me!!)....Im going to install a NASA/American Iron "X" type door bar set up in it when I get to that point....something you can still get in when you open the door....thanks for checking in...D

Dont you have to lift off the gas briefly while shifting those clutchless? That's what I've seen....

Ok its me back doing the body work now. The whole lower area between the tail lights to the trunk floor was shot and had to be removed....good thing is that I can do anything I want.....the bad thing is I can do anything I want.....hard to decide exactly how I want to tackle this

Hmm.. How about something like this?

Raise the fuel cell just a hair for clearance and there you go!

Of course, if you did that to the back.. you would have to balance it out with something equal for the front.

Haha yeah!....seeing I have no rule book at some point I will make efforts to streamline the car.....shaving the drip rails were #1, especially on the A pillars!....I want to fill the grille except for the rad opening and do some work underneath the car...Im looking forward to it.

Still love this project! Good progress. Makes me feel better knowing others take as long as me to build their cars.

      Thumbs up

Progress is good man. I'd love to do something like this, I guess being down here in australia I'd have to use a V8 supercar as a platform

IMHO,A V8 super chassis would be much better than a cup chassis.
