This is one awesome project, I couldn't even imagine how cool it would be driving that thing around. Great approach on everything and I love how purpose built this car is turning out.

      "Subscribed". Awesome car man.
I'd love to watch a video of you thrash this car when it's ready.

      This build is a Killer!

      Like a lot of it...

I built a street legal NASCAR looker app 2 years ago here in Finland. Finns are motorsport nuts, but NASCAR is not so popular here. Thatīs why Iīm kinda "lone wolf" here. We have here only handful of NASCAR-lookers...

Here is mine. Itīs an AMC Matador Coupe.

Holy crap this is awesome, ive been perusing this forum for a while just learning and getting ideas. i was looking for fuel cell/chassis info for my GTO build and stumbled on this. so i finally had to register. my god its amazing. i dont know if i have the balls to try it, but its certainly worth a road trip to pick up stock car roller just to have. NASCAR is one of my favorite things on the planet, and at that price for a roller nascar, that purchases all of the huge ticket items all at once, just alot of work getting the body to fit (or i could adapt parts to my car?) but man you did a beautiful job, you must've had the biggest smile on your face throwing it in reverse to get her into the daylight for the first time! cant wait to see it finished.

I know this is rude (but I'll ask anyway), how much was teh original race car?
I've looked through teh entire thread, (admittedly skimming the text) but didn't see.

Thank you. That's an incredible price.
I've never looked (on a serious basis), but the ones I've seen have a "one" in front of that number.
      Well done Sir!

Do you have any more pics or a description of the rear suspension? I figure buying a whole stock car is a pipe dream. But it seems used nascar parts are cheap. And research shows how awesome a truck arm system works. So anything you can offer would be great. Please correct me if I'm wrong as far as I can tell based on what parts I can buy. The truck arms bolt at one end to a cross member. And bolt to the axle housing with essentially a leaf spring perch and a thick u bolt. The shock mounts to the truck arm behind the axle housing. Then a coil spring cup bolts to the truck arm in front of the axle housing, then the Coil spring sits on that. On top is another cup with a jack screw pushing down on it threaded through essentially a nut welded on the chassis? And to keep it centered is a Panhard bar or watts link Is that right? I found a company hotrod to hell (or something like that)that sells a kit for 2k but I think I can buy used nascar parts and do the whole thing for about 600. What ya think?

Amazing build! I'm sure it was nice to turn that key and hear it come to life.
