      It's been a slow two weeks between holidays and an unfortunate delay at the coaters but I'm back on it now. We got the headers ceramic coated and installed now. I love the headers from this point of view - you never really get to see it and it really gives you an idea how much beef the ATS headers have:









      Once we shuffle some things around in the shop we'll drop the body on and, if the center section arrives, we'll have the car on the ground by the end of the week.

      First of all, TOP NOTCH build you've got going on there! Very nice attention to details.

      A couple of questions. We are about to purchase a paint booth. The one we are looking at is 14X28 made by ColeMet. How wide is your booth? Looking at the pics of the car in there on the rotissarie, looks lke you have plenty of room. I'm thinking 14 wide's gonna be cramped, but your's looks like there is room to spare.

      2nd question: We have a homemade rotissarie, and I am wondering, is that big truck slack adjusters you use for the rotating part? If so, how stable are they? Do you just turn the bolt and where you stop, it's locked? I never thought about using slack adjusters. If that is what those are, I'm blowing my rotissarie apart and fabbing up some of those!!

      We mocked up the exhaust one last time to help with the fabrication of the rear diffuser. Once we are done with it it will go out to the coater before final installation.

      Which allowed us to get the HRE wheels and Toyo Proxes R888 tires on:

      And for the first time we were able to get the car on the ground on it's own wheels and tires...







      well - almost on the ground... the hoist doesn't go low enough so it's on a couple of blocks for now...

      The front shocks still need to be adjusted to get the front end down another 2 inches to get to ride height.



      But the rear sits nicely as is...

      What are the specs on the AP brakes? Diameters? Rotor thicknesses? Are the front rotors 1.25" or 1.38" thick?

      Thanks - I think that I may have gone overboard here and there but it happens. I am really happy with the way the car is coming - it's cool to see it finally on it's own four feet.

      The fronts are 6-piston calipers and the rotor specifications are 362 mm x 32 mm (14.25" x 1.26")

      The rears are 4-piston calipers and rotor specifications are 356 mm x 26 mm (14.00" x 1.02") - although I want to double check the rear measurements.

      I don't have the actual capacity here in front of me right now; I have a number in my head but I am pretty sure if I write it down it will be wrong.

      I am using the "short" CV Products (or Tilton - they are the same) reservoirs. I also have the mounting bar and -4AN fitting/housing. The reservoir actually screws into the housing with the -4AN male machined as part of it. I believe that they will also tread directly into some of the MC's but I don't know exactly which ones (although I can say positively not the Tilton 77 series).
