With any luck we'll get it off the rotisserie by mid-week - we have some screwing around to finish up with the headliner that is proving much more of a PITA than anything so simple should be.

Once it's off the rotisserie and on the hoist we'll reinstall the rear suspension and hopefully fuel system then the the front sub goes on and it'll be on the ground on it's own wheels and tires. Screw aroung with this and that for a week or two and then it should be ready for paint... figure first week of June?

It seems like it's been a slow week but we've been making progress although much of it is slow and tedious.

We wet sanded and polished the firewall:

We got our increadible Rick's Stainless tank prepped for intallation:

we'll get it installed tomorrow along with the Lateral Dynamics 3-link.

And the firewall assembly started, with the Tilton 900-Series pedal assembly going in first:

      Very nice build.

I have a question on the roll-bar. I noticed in earlier pics you had a halo with forward down-bars, did you remove it permanently or is it removable? In the future I would like to add the forward sub-frame bars but do not want to put in a halo.

      Thanks,
      Matt

To make a long, sad, and frustrating story short, the halo bar and A-pillar tubes have been "permanently" removed. It wasn't an easy or satisfying decision to have to make but they had to go; I might revist that part of the cage in the future as circumstances dictate - we'll see. I did, however, chose to keep the forward down bars and the firewall cross bar beneath and behind the dash; they are actually largely integrated into the body of the car.

Our McLeod RST Street Twin clutch arrived so we took the opportunity to assemble it and install the Rockland Standard "Son of Tranzilla" T-56 using ATS's T-56 crossmember.

If anyone is interested, I posted the installation step-by-step here: Installation Thread

Do you happen to remember what the backspacing is on the fronts?

      Thanks.

The fronts are +29 offset or 5.89" backspacing.

It is worked for me, in this application, but I can't guarantee that it will work for anyone else - it's really (really) close. If nothing else, consider it a starting point.

I used a mount mate to get close then bought a cheap american racing wheel from summit to double check suspension clearances. We actually started with a 6.125" BS but the 5.89" was the max to clear the AP brakes.

It's been a slow two weeks between holidays and an unfortunate delay at the coaters but I'm back on it now. We got the headers ceramic coated and installed now. I love the headers from this point of view - you never really get to see it and it really gives you an idea how much beef the ATS headers have:

Once we shuffle some things around in the shop we'll drop the body on and, if the center section arrives, we'll have the car on the ground by the end of the week.
