      looks like I'll be waiting yet another week for the valley pan, butler performance said the manufacturer should be shipping 175 pans to them today which means they will be in on next friday

      "FINALLY" got my valley pan and crank pulley I can't blame butler they were waiting on the manufacturer to ship the valley pans






      dropping them off tomorrow shop said it will be a couple days due to other engines taking mine it is place while waiting

      guess good thing we werent planning to take the GTO to woodward this year

      Man that motor looks nice! I like the aluminum valve covers, they nicely match the heads and intake. Leaving the factory chrome one on there really shows the difference!

      That would set if off! I think Edelbrock has some in their nascar line that are black - they might have them in a natural brushed finish too.

      Well A buddy came over yesterday and welded up my holes for me on the firewall.

      today I went out and ground the welds down and applied a coat of duraglas giving it some time to cure before I go back out and grind it down for a coat of rage

      Middle part of the firewall is pretty much where I want it still need to feather out some other areas and give it a paint job for now

      but not sure if I should go Satin black or gloss black if I go gloss I'm sure most of the bodywork will show

      I really need a new air cleaner setup any suggestions? any cast aluminum ones out there to match the rest of the motor?

      How about the brushed aluminum air cleaner DSE has. It would look good on there. The engine looks great.

      Engine looks great! Agree on the need for a brushed ally air cleaner though, the stainless / chrome one looks so out of place. Going to do all the dress bits in a brushed look now in the engine bay?

      eventually I plan to swap all the pulleys for polished billet ones just money is a little scarse at the moment

      I ordered some Hirsh chassis black for the firewall I read some good stuff about it on performanceyears
