Where did you get the gas cap from, and how difficult was it to install?

Hey Rod, How are ya!! Cant remember last time I posted here but looks like you've been busy. How do you like the Spectre air cleaner? Looks really cool and am thinking of using one for one of my future builds.

I like the Cold air intake from Spectre works well!! and it looks like the early smokey Z28 cowl plenum intake Chevy developed in early SCCA and Trans Am, which is an awesome bonus

here's a close up of the top casing, nicely made with a grease fitting

      Rod,
Do you have the part number for the tall ball joint? I looked at proforged web site and was not able to find it.
      Thanks,

Thanks Rod. How do you like them so far? The boots on the ones that came with my GW upper arms leaked grease all over the suspensions, so gave me an excuse to go to tall ball joint.

The tall ball joints work great with the Global west upper arms, the DSE lower arms, Hotchkis coil spring and sway bar you can see from these pictures the suspension goes slightly negative in corners like needed, this year (2012) I will add the Guldstand mod to see how the set up works then I think a little more negative (and a little wider front tire) and Plain Jane will be unstoppable

I'm interested to see how the tall spindle/ball joint works with the Guldstrand mod. I thought they both accomplished the same thing.

Plain Janes (1sickT8) Heart Gives up

OK just as the title says, my car Plain Jane engine started burning oil last weekend (james bond smoke cloud style) just after a visit to the BBQ at Road Touring customs, (which by the way Rich was AWESOME! thanks bro) so I pulled the heads valves were fine, seals fine, guides fine, so then I pulled the rest of the motor, and I have a bad piston skirt that cracked a chunk off and damage the cylinder wall, heres my question!!!!! I have 2 motors to choose from as a replacement

      1) is an torquey LS 327 from GM with ls 6 reworked heads and a cam - about 355HP
      2) is a bone stock Ls6 completely stock --------------------------- about 400 HP

going with the LS plunge I have collected a good list of parts for the swap and the swap was supposed to happen at the end of the year not the start

so which engine do I choose?????
