I took the car for its first long drive, about 15 miles to a christmas car show for the kids. My dad drove his 65 ranchero and we donated a few toys. The falcon actually did pretty good. A little tire rub in the front nothing a BFH cant fix. I introduced my headers to a few speed bumps, bummer. I might need to do something a little more elaborate to fix that issue. I am happy with the way the rear suspension works; I need to adjust the rear shocks I had them set stiff (great for corners) but way too stiff for cruising on the highway. I took a few cell phone pics I will get those loaded up today. I am pretty happy, a few more things to do before the first pass through the cones.

I envy you, mine is still a few years away from moving under it's own power. Looking great. Once you get it painted it will look funny, I have gotten used to the fiberglass fenders.

HAHA! I know the gray front end has defined the car for the last 8 years. I will probably paint the front end early next year.

It is going to rain tonight, so the falcon is tucked back in the garage. I love the looks of these wheels, not bad for $1K, DOT and SFI certified and under 25 pounds.

After I get all my xmas stuff put away I think my new years resolution is going to be get my Falcon rolling.... Bryce have you ever thought about designing a front stub?

Thanks Ray, yes they do take a long time, especially when one has a life outside of build cars. I am starting to enjoy all the hard work and time. I cant wait for some real payback!

Good plan Jason, I am excited to see your falcon running some cones! I would like to see how your torque arm will compare with my 3-link!!!

I have considered designing a from stub, but my car was a perfect rust free california car with 48K miles. There was no way I was going to cut up that nice of a car. Well I cut it a little. HEHE.

I have slowly been working on a blank paper suspension setup and a full tube frame car. It will be front engine small block ford, solid axle and modular for different types of racing.
