Well, first I have to think about it while I'm trying to sleep for about 3 days straight.LOL I actualy shape the wheelwell opening first with a 1/4" roundbar, and make sure the tire clears. Most of the metal is peices of the fender and scrap left over from the quarter panels,if you where to measure the fender end to end,it would be about 5" longer then a factory fender due to the bulge.I'm hoping to get the front half done tonight.Ron

I like it, reminds me of the Red GTO track car. I'm thinking this thing will haul A** and handle.

You, my friend, are my hero. Not to spit in the faces of all the huge budget builds, but this is what it is about. Bargain basement, Yankee ingenuity.

Finished roughing in the passenger side fender last night, when I walked out tonight and looked at all the different peices stitched on to this one body.I usually don't name my cars, but this thing just looked like Frankenstien or Frankenstang. The Vette wheels allow me to put the sheet metal right there on the tires{love the look}.Ron

Ron.... that looks phenominal. You have made that body the new Mustang should have got. You are an inspiration to the way I look at a build.

I knew I wasn't going to be able to use factory hinges, and front portion of the cage is landing right where the hinges would be.I figured I'd hinge the hood in reverse, but didn't realize how hard it would be.The nose of the car is so far past the pivot point, the hinges had to lift up before they pivot out.Took a whole day to calculate and fab some mock ups.Ron

Should have picked up a pair from a C5, they do about the same thing.

Don't judge a man by his car

I really like this mustang you are building...it is way more my style. I am just an old redneck from Arkansas. I am the first generation of my family that does not keep cars in the front yard on blocks.
