      Thanks Jake,have you ever sprayed it?Any idea of how it lays down?Trying to get all the stupid stuff done,even the aprons required alot of fitting to get the lines right.The quarters grew about 4"in length,I don't know what made me think the apron would fit.Ron

      ron it lays down really really nice. very flat, plus because its flat(no gloss) it doesn't need to be like glass, but it lays flatter then most reg clear.
      thrash from rad rides uses it all the time on schemes etc

      Thanks Jake,I was going through my paint stuff tonight,found a new gallon of PPG clear,probably left from my Cuda.So the car will probably be shiny.I have several quarts of different colors,not enough to cover the whole car,but I'll probably use one of them as a first coat to make what ever paint I buy go farther.I still have a couple more nights on the back of the car,and then i have to tackle the front fenders.

      Jake are you going to the Year one event down in Atlanta,in May?

      Seems like the flat would allow some of the details to be hidden.

      Would be cool to go with shiny paint and be able to say the whole car was done for less than 10g's.

      I need to buy a gallon of mud,I think i have enough primer around here,and I do Have a gallon of clear.I will need two quarts of color and catylist for the clear.I'm hoping the paint job stays und $250.and the car stays under $7k.Ron

      Finally got all,and I mean all of the welding done on the back of this car,stripped it and put it in DP90,which was probably way past its use date.I guess I'll flip a coin as to whether I'll start smearing mud,or turn the car around and start on the front fenders.Ron

      Ron, I think you could drive that thing around without covering the welds with mud. That way, all the work you put into it would be exposed. It just has such a raw/industrial look to it with the welds and DP90 showing.

      Originally,when I was rushing to get ready for RTTH,the quarters were installed with zip screws.It truely was a grungy build,when I didn't make it,I desided to take the time to finish it up right{it didn't cost anymore money to finish it right} So after all the work I'm going to have to put it in color{not super slick paint,but paint}

      Love it! That is so inspiring. Thank you so much for putting up pics.

      I am trying to understand how you are doing it though. Are you adding metal or just manipulating what is there?
