we moved into a new house a couple weeks ago and im bringing the car home for alittle then back to the shop to finish it up.

Past couple days we have installed the quarter windows, door glass, wing window, the the trim with the windows mentioned, front spoiler mounted up, mocked up the front calipers, spoiler and narrowed the seats down for the quadralink and mini tub.

Next up this week before it comes home is to install door panels, mock up gauges, turn signal lenses, align front bucket headlights, door locks, and and dynamat the doors

dynaliner installed on the panel. The inside of the door is dynamated. I used one sheet for the door. I didnt feel the need to cover the entire inside of the door. Dynamat is a vibration dampener so this should do. You can tell a difference already just knocking on the door

Heres a short video of the dynamat door Vs non dynamat fender. Its hard to tell in the video but in person OMG there is a huge difference. As far as the dynamat goes i did not cover the entire inside of the door. I cut each sheet in 4" strips and installed it that way leaving a little gap between each sheet. I was able to use one sheet of dynamat per door even adding some on the sides and the front of the door.

      need some help.

So i have the passanger side windows to my liking. The problem is the drivers side wing window. I think it sits alittle too low. There is a screw on the inside of the door, bolt on the top right, and bolt on the side if you are looking at it. Now i can take the screw out and pull the window up and tighten the bolts to where i like it but i cant get the screw back in. So i tried the opposite first. Install the screw and then pull the window up. Problem is i cant seem to get enough adjustment this way like i did with the screw out.

Does anyone have a picture or a idea what this screw actually does? I can start the screw but it doesnt seem to go in the correct path. Any help would be great

Is this an original to the car GM door or a repop door?

sames stuff as before. Im wondering if it was always hanging alittle low. I think i need to drill out the vent window clip since thats whats hitting.

so I'm currently installing my american auto wire kit. The kit states that i need to cut out the fuse box area so the new fuse box can fix. Now its saying to align the right side of the template to the right side of the edge of the current firewall fuse box hole. Now if i do that it gets really close to another hole on the left side of the fuse box.

My question is why not just split the difference from left and right instead of cutting all to the left of the hole? Less cutting or clearance issues? Im going to guess less cutting

On my 1968 Firebird I has clearance problems with the parking brake. Make sure to have the cable in place and check for clearance. If your even running the stock set up.

I feel like I have 3/4 of the cutout to the left of the hole and 1/4 of the cutout to the right. I doubt that should cause clearance issues. If it does i guess ill have to go to a handle Ebrake setup. Anyone have any pic of the fuse box installed from the firewall view?

Not a great picture and I guess it was not the parking break cable. It was the emergency light switch that was in the way.

By looking at a 68-69 fuse box it does look like i need to do all the cutting to the left. Solves that issue.

Side note i did install my doom light, sun visors, and pillar pods. I also picked up some kick panels and door sills.

Question ... with the dynaliner on the door panel, will this reduce any inner door 'vibration' noises coming into the car ? I just can't seem to make these go away and they're driving me %&&^(&^&^80 !!

      Thanks

Yes the dynaliner will help a lot. instead of metal touching cardboard its touching foam. I dynamat the door itself too. The dynaliner made the door panels much stronger but the dynamat is what is going to keep the vibrations down. I put 3 inch strips on the inner part of the door with a inch separation. The part of the door that the panel attaches too i put dynamat on the window side of that anywhere that the panel as a indent in. Its hard to describe. I didn't want a solid piece of dynamat covering my enter door where the panel connects too and have to take it off if i need to mess with the window or something
