Those nuts that are factory installed in the bottom of the frame rail aren't very solid to begin with. Your design definitely ties it all together well. Congrats on the addition to your race team. HAHA!
thanks racer! I used spacers to clear the flange. I started with a solid 3/4" plate and match drilled the holes to the frame but with the slight variations of the frame it did not work, so now I use a unique thickness spacer at each bolt hole, with large OD.

custom headers are in my mind right now.

I took some time off work and didn't work on the falcon, but I did some garage mods.....

I have wanted to insulate and drywall the garage since I moved in. I finally got around to it.

I stripped the walls down to studs.

Moved some outlets and added insulation.

Drywall up, time for mud and tape.

      Two coats of primer

one side done, painted with super high gloss white paint with a glass like finish.

      time for the second side.

added some outlets and a switch to turn off a few of my overhead lights when not needed. that counts as being green right?

drywall and tape and mud done

done, now to put the mess away.

almost there, time for some garage art and foldup workbenches, and I need to get everything hung up on the walls and off the floor.

its like being at a drive-in....

That water heater and washer/dryer combo should be replaced with a blast cabinet and air compressor.

I have to keep the washer dryer to keep the wife happy. But I have considered a instant hot water heater using gas. This would free up some space for a bigger air compressor. I have a 33gal now and it doesn't keep up with the die grinders.

The wife wanted a bigger tv for our living room. So I took the 55 and bought her a 70inch.

Only car lovers would list one of the benefits of a tank-less water heater to be freeing up valuable garage space. I did the switch and was very happy with performance AND the space I got back.

Is it a sign of age or car-overdose when this many of us are thinking of tankless water heaters on a hotrod site?

So how much did your car weigh? I am guessing 2850.. Mine weighted 2950 when I dropped it off at Agent 47... without bumpers and a half tank of gass... all steel car with full interior and iron block and heads.

2720 without driver and 10 gallons of gas. The power steering only added 6lbs.

I think its the difference between theoretical and applied hot rodding.

In theory we build hot rods but actually we have to live in the real world with limitations. Garage size being one!

I am still surprised the power steering only added 6lbs.

I ordered stickers and put them on a magnetic sheet and cut them out to make some nice removable numbers. And they passed the freeway test.

I didn't order letters, so I printed some letters and used them as stencils on some carbon fiber tape on the same magnetic sheet. Worked out good.

I also got a new autocross hat, this should keep the sun off my face and neck while working the course.

I just experienced the first SDR event with the CAM guys. What a great turn out. I had a blast running with the friends. The car felt great, the power steering felt great, still has feel.... The stiffer rear spring really balance the car out and the overall package was great to drive. I don't really have any other mods planned before the next SCCA event.

      Here are the videos:

      Pictures and results next week.

I flipped through the build today. I didn't see videos, but the car and all of the details are amazing. Let me know if you want a rendering of your car.

Thanks Driveit. I appreciate the offer. If you look at the post right above yours you can see the latest videos. I think youtube was slow uploading them and thats why you didn't see them earlier.

I already had a rendering done back in 2012. But I will keep you in mind if I ever need another rendering for this car or another.
