Well today i took abunch of the pictures of the progress i have made so far. hopefully will be ordering a rearend housing at the end of this week or early next week. I have only been working on this for about 2-2 1/2 weeks so it seems to be coming together very fast. Also i designed this frame myslef since nobody even makes anything close for a 57 ford or similairName: 310775_10150343104742963_558537962_8426058_65189292_n.jpg

I think this project is way out their and awesome.. Ain't no 69 Camaro... No offense to the camaro owners out there. My question is, is it normal to have that much room between the ball joints and the spindle? I may not know what going on parts wise, just a question.

The upper ball joints are 1" longer and the lowers are 1/2" longer this is for better negative camber gains for cornering. It does give it a weird look though

I see a Lefthander stub and some other parts from Lefthander, do you hang around Elko or Raceway at all? I might know you

Project is looking great, very nice work so far.

HAHA! You are doing a very good job so far. Good skills. What is your camber gain with this setup?

Oh, and a couple part ideas for you, these tie rods are awesome, very easy to adjust and affordable too. They hold adjustment much better by tightening the clamps than the ones with jam nuts do when you tighten them.

Also, You may want to consider using steel strut tubes rather than aluminum like Lefthander supplies, we've found that the aluminum struts tend to deflect some under heavy braking forces.

Looking great! Nice to see someone using a Lefty stub on a PT car, they really are an affordable alternative to some of the more model-specific stubs and chassis out there.

@monteboy84 -I use to hang around elko, but im friends with David Frederickson, and you may know my brother Brandon Clemens, He had that 56 f100 at spectator drags.
Also I talked to the guys at lefthander cause i wasnt sure if they were strong enough and told them what i was doing and they said that 3/4 aluminum strut tubes would work out perfect. And it definately is affordabe compared to anything on the market besides some mustang II which i didnt want at all.
also thanks for the part ideas ill check them out.

@bryce- I have .5 a degree at about 2 inches of travel up from ride height.

And thanks for all the comments to the other people who said stuff

Small world, I know David and Danny really well, I crew for Nick Panitzke who's good friends with those guys. Your brother's truck is really sharp, can't wait to see how your Ranchero comes out, should be pretty awesome.
