I will pick up car from paint Friday, have motor and trans in by Saturday, then finish details on Sunday.

Hooker shorted me my sub flange so that might hold me up for scheduled exhaust appointment on Monday.

Those guys really piss me off, but might not be there fault cause box was opened when delivered.

I love a all aluminum 427 small block! the weight to power ratio for what your doing is awesome. And taking 175LBS or so off the nose will make a huge impact in your weight balance. I will be curious to see where your at when you scale it. With you in it I would be surpised if it was not 50 / 50.

50/50 would be cool but I dont know. Before build car was at 3220. Minus 110 for block and flywheel, about 80 for front end, might be 3030 lbs. New seats probley take another 8-10 lbs off but I may not keep them, I really likes my other ones. Gonna try new one's at Buttonwillow on the 28th but I'll probly throw olds one's in trailor just in case.

I was 187 lbs before surgeries 10 weeks ago and now I'm 162. Weight loss the hard way but I'll take it. Thats 25 lbs right there, LOL.

      3030 + 160 = 3190.

Hopefully someone will have scales at track

Got my car back home from Kens Custom Auto Body and Paint last night. Had a busy day today. Completed grill, bumper, and side marker light install and then installed engine, trans, driveshaft, and radiator.

LOL, yeah for sure, along with a first through second tire smoker. Got her scheduled for exhaust install first thing Monday morning.

I'm gonna have to pull the new headers back off due to interfering with my rack-n-pinion steering shaft. Really ticks me off but oh well.

I will throw 1 3/4" super comps back on temporarily until I find someone local that can customize the driver side header.

It was posted on a sign off of HWY 50. The only info I have is that its at HWY 50 and Cambridge Rd in Cameron Park. Cambridge Rd is 2 exits up from El Dorado Hills Blvd about 2-3 miles up.

Car is at Caspers Muffler Service in Shingle Springs getting exhaust installed today. Bad news is its with my 1 3/4" headers and not my new 2". The 2" conflicted with my steering shaft. I also had to beat on them with a hammer to clear control arm. Do yourselves a favor and never buy 2" primary headers from Hooker. They shorted me the sub flanges and the 3 collector pipes that are supposed to come with them. Luckily Summit will take them back. Here are some photos of engine and header conflict with steering.

Had to pull motor back out due to oil pan leaking. I also found leak at front of intake. NYES Racing Engines suck and I'm gonna tell them so on Monday. I was supposed to be at Buttonwillow today but had to stay a t home to fix their ****. Also cost me $30 cancellation fee with Speed Ventures.

When I pulled pan I noticed a couple of pieces of cork gasket material at bottom of pan. When I pulled screen off above windage tray I found alot more. They never trimmed the cork gasket around the rod bolts. MF'rs!!!!!

Had more photos but Photobucket not resizing when I post here. This photo is cork gasket material under windage screen

On a good note, I got my exhaust installed a couple of days ago. 3" all the way out by Caspers Muffler Service in Diamond Springs.

If I can get these oil leaks taken care of!!!! Either way I'll probly take car, but if still has leaks I wont run it. I am PO'd to say the least. Was supposed to be at Buttonwillow today but got stuck fixing their work. Cost me $30 cancelation fee from Speed Ventures.

Very cool build! Don't let the oil leaks get you down, I'm still chasing them out of mine after 18 years of the same car. I even tried the 1pc pan gaskets, still get some drips in the parking places. It does keep the underbody from rusting though! -Dan

If it leaked on the dyno I sure didn't see it. What really pisses me off is that they didn't trim the cork pan gasket around the rod bolts and mains. If they skimped there where else did they skimp.

So tell me, would you guys trust it on the road course? Or do I send It back to them now and tell them I want my money back before I possobly grenade it there?

Thats the $10,000 question of the day for me.
