Funny thing was that during the whole spin I was laughing my head off...even with the tire wall approaching!! Thank God we didn't hit the tire wall!!

After every track day I change and inspect the engine oil, trans fluid and rear end fluid. It gets a lil bit expensive but gives me an insight on whats happening inside and is worth it in my eyes.

There are big things coming for this car this winter. I got the ball rolling last Saturday on an "upgrade" that wil finally make this car much more road course friendly and reliable.

Stay tuned...b/c I will have a full on complete write up on the install...very detailed.

OK....currently prepping the car for this weekend's RTTH VIII.

My current motor was installed back in 2004 and had been abused ever since. I put it through alot this year in particular. Even with a high pressure oil pump and running high ZDDP Brad Penn 20w50 oil...I am only getting a MAX of 40 psi of oil pressure at high rpms and only like 10 at idle. I'm thinking that after this weekend the motor will be toast...and I am ok with this.

Since the motor is most likely going to be swapped out this winter...that leads me open to some options. The "secret" in the above post was that I put a down payment on an American Powertrain T56 Magnum set up. I will most likely have to cancel that order since I now need a new engine.

      So here's my dilemma...

      1) Stick with another SBC and save lots of money since all my accessories, ignition, carb/intake and headers will fit the new motor.

      or

      2) Build up the LQ4 block that I have sitting around in my garage.. This will involve building the motor, heads, getting headers, all new front acc drive, induction system either a carb or fuel injection, new computer/ignition, coils, motor mounts, trans adapter, etc...you get the idea.

The least expensive would be do just do another SBC...but I've always wanted a LS motor but good god will that be alot of $$$$$$$$$ and I just can't afford it right now.

What would you do...and remember...I'm not rich and live in a world of reality.
