Put all new rear brakes on a lil while ago...and it actually made a big difference!

I have a 8.5" rear i am building this winter that will have matching Baer brakes...

All the hardware laid out on the work bench.

I made these car stands today so I can have the car at ride height and work on the coil overs to get them adjusted just right!!. They are made of 2x4's and are 14"x14".

I had to modify the base on the driver front one so it would fit with the lift plate there.

**UPDATE** Having some small issues with the rear coil overs but I think the problems have been fixed. I will do a write up on those rear coil overs as soon as I am 100% done with the install.

I'll tell you all one thing...ridetech makes some bangin' parts!!!

So I am about to install my third brass prop valve from inline tube. Every one I have installed so far has leaked out of the front rubber boot that covers the valve. I called inline tube and they ADMITTED to me that 15/100 of these style prop valves fail and leak from that valve. Doesn't 15/100 seem a little bit high?? And they came right out and admitted it!

Now I know that they do not manufacture these prop valves and apparentlly their supplier is the only company who makes these units.

The one I have is a stock replacement, made of brass and has a 70/30 valving. They do make a solid brass one which has no front valve (leaking part!!) but that is rated at 50/50 valving.

      Currently looking for solutions....

Solution: use just a adjustable (Baer) prob valve, remove the brass prob valve an take a T-adapter.

Give Rick from Bear a call, he will give you support.

Well...still playing with the whole brake prop valve issue. In the mean time I have been doing some other small fix's to my car. I've been thinking alot about my oil filter recentlly so I decided to make a video comparing what I have been using.

I almost forgot to put up what I was originally going to post about!!

While working on my prop valve I noticed that something was leaking onto both of my front tires. It turned out to be my lower ball joints!! Have any of you heard of the grease liquefying in the lower ball joint? I did weld them in about a year ago and have since re-greased them with the Valvoline Syn grease that I have always used. Is there a way to drain these things??

My new BJ's and other grease fittings did seam to leak some liquid or sweat... i'm not positive but it may be the nature of synthetic greases??? I used Green Grease.... I just pumped in some more... i think the liquid was very minimal... try adding some grease and see how much is actually liquid...

2 months until RTTS... get your crap together man!!! hahaha!

Can't help with the ball joints, but keep posting the updates. You've done a ton of work on your car and it should be a blast at RTTS2. See you there
