ATS Project 50/50

[colt zantop]

[rfalker1]

Man the car is looking sick!! I cant wait to see more

[Tango68SS]

...any updates? What ever happened to 50/50 and Tyler? Is it still at Ironworks?

[johnnysrx]

^^^ what he said ^^^ love this car and its journey,

[TitoJones]

Oh yeah, I have a 1968 Camaro still. To be honest I don't give it much thought these days. I've taken on another line of work and have been trying to get another startup business off the ground, so this car project has once again taken to the back burner while I focus on other things. Rodger, as always, has been a saint to work with, and at this point probably hates that I've been slow to make progress and take more active interest in the car.

So last year John McBride and I finalized the race car touches to the body work, and I finalized the prototypes I've been trying to get to market for 7 years now. As soon as I have the capital to launch I'll make an announcement and become a PT and LatG sponsor and contributing member again.

Until that day, here is the last update I'll make for the time being.

Tyler,

My friend, the car rendering is amazing!!

Leave it to you to keep push the design of PT cars further and further!

I can't wait to see what you have to come out with next and see back as a active member in the community that you helped create!

If I can be of any help, please don't hesitate to contact me! still at the same number here in Las Vegas (702)677-4085

I am trying myself to come up with the capital to start a shop geared towards LS swaps, pro-touring cars and some offroad work

Can't wait until 50/50 is finally complete!

Guess who finally squirreled enough cheddar away to stop paying monthly storage and maybe, juuuuussssst maybe get this thing out of Rodger's shop and back home to my loving garage?

Me.

It was me. That was a good guess. You were right.

All I will say at this point is that Rodger Lee owner of Ironworks Speed and Kustoms is a professional. He has been more patient with me than my own flesh and blood parents. (and they had to suffer through me learning to play the drums in their house as a teenager)

I've taken up an entire section of Rodger's back storage for many years now, decommissioned a chassis table for a decade, and probably caused a few thousand jokes about my car at his expense. Again, he has been nothing but understanding, accommodating, communicative, and a very cool guy when it came to my many stall outs, fund shortages, plan revamps, and career changes.

I'll let Rodger decide if he would like to update this thread to include any build photos. I'll try and check in but these days message forums are very tough to keep up with.

That said, here is 4-5 years worth of dust and rust seeing the light of day once again. The world champion of stalled-never-completed-out-of-my-budget-project-car-from-1999; the 50/50 Camaro.

I was just checking this thread, assuming someone had just resurrected it with a "whatever happened" question. But it seems that Tyler is still alive and maybe 50/50 is too.

Welcome back, and good luck!

[Martin71RS]

wow Tyler...it has been a long while, good to see you are getting back at it!

[TheBandit]
