Last shot for the paper flares. I was surprised to see how nice the fenders and rear quarters actually were after stripping them down to bare metal. They are so nice I think we should destroy them.

Here it is with the old carbon fiber side skirts with the side exit exhaust port. The new frame will not allow the side exit so I will re-make the side rocker trim to flow better with the new flares and front air dam. Poor shop kid had to lay under that jig and hold them up for this shot.

Those flares along with the 50/50 body kit are really going to fit the car. Very nice.

I'm not a huge fan of flares, but they fit this project really well. Have you thought about tying the flares a little bit to the sideskirts?

Don't get too close to Rodger, he will cut you up.

So he started the fender cuts to reduce the flare bubble size and make it appear more subtle.
He stripped the fender and rear 1/4 down to bare metal and sliced it at the 9, 12, and 3 O'clock positions to pull the body line outward.

Still working on the front, but same idea; just checking at full lock/compression-

      Have a good weekend!

My only advise I will give to anyone doing this, is to put 1/4" spacers on the wheels before molding the flares. Build the lips so there is plenty of room at full lock, then take the spacers off when your done. You just can't imagine how much flex there can be at speed on the road course, and you don't want blister that new paint while leaning on it. I built mine with spacers, and I've never had an issue, but I'll bet you couldn't put a credit card between the tire and the inside of the fender at the Oak Tree at VIR. Just my 2 cents. Looks great Tyler. Ron
