Speedfreak - excellent work. Question... What is that car primered in and what type of prep did you do to the panels before welding. It looks like the primer burned at the spot welds and I am wondering what you plan to do about that if anything. Did you use weld thru primer or is everything done in some type of epoxy primer? Thanks for the help. Chris

      Thanks Chris.
The car is primed in etching primer. I strip all of the EDP coating and etch prime all panels before assembly. I will go back and clean up the welds and apply another coat of primer.

Hey Brian, I see that you spot weld the car every so many inches in the pictures, but do you come back through and weld it completely? I hear from some that it's best to do that and some don't think it's necessary. Seems a lot easier to do what you do and grind down the welds and seem seal it I guess? BTW, I really like your project.

      Thanks,
If the plug welds are burned in correctly they are very strong. I do stitch weld certain structural areas like the torque boxes and at the firewall near the sub frame mounts.

It takes a lot of time and effort to drill 100 holes and weld them up.
I think in some cases people are just being lazy and stitch panels on the edges. I believe it is worth the effort and makes for a much cleaner and factory looking job.
