thats where the car is now

I hoping here over the winter to pull the front end apart and get the body off so we can get the frame to a shop to get it straightened out since there is some damage on it

yeah I was a big fan of the previous ones

I'm going to use the rally IIs for classic shows and then get a set of 18s for crusing and other shows

well since it had warmed up a bit I drove the car to one body shop I called them up earlier today and asked if they did frames, but should of been more specific about older car frames after I got there they said they wouldn't touch it since they don't have the specs, but they did recommend another good shop. I called them up and made sure to ask about older frames and they said yes since they have a 55 Belair there

here are pics of the main damage

and I also believe the frame isn't sitting right in the front since the body panels dont line up right

well went to another shop and they quoted about 5 hours on the frame repairs and straightening

Quoted me a ball park of around $500 for the frame rack ($150), 5 hours work, and tailoring to and from the shop ($80 each way) if I pull all the front end sheet metal off

course will probably be more like $600 but I think I can live with that

I think he said without towing would probably be around $350-400

Your pictures are a little confusing, are you trying to add height to the car or trying to get it lower?

      lower

the front is about the same height as before and the rear was sitting lower than the front so we added the perches back in but cut them down

nice car, sad to say but I think your Z24 has less rust then this car. You ever finish that rear seat sub project on the Z? Yeah I'm over on V6z24 as well.

Nice GTO, and your family does really like red.

Yeah I can relate to working a ton, I moved from Chicago to Charlotte, and got rid of all of my fwd projects. Oh well stuff happens, and I got a bit of an upgrade over my "B24" and Z26...

started tearing the car apart to get it ready to have the frame fixed and get the engine rebuilt
