Was nice to meet you George.

Definitely have a lot of tuning to do, mostly in the handling and suspension though. Can't do much with the carb though maybe I can find a way to keep it from stalling past the finish...

I'm hoping that Mike the owner of the 63 Falcon will come on this thread. All I know about the 63 Falcon is it would be CP or SU..No interior a four link swap that doesn't meet SM rules, also has rack & pinnion steering. So are you ready to race Tyler..You'll see them at GG..

The April 27th28 Practice&Competition flyers are now posted at SDR-SCCA.com/solo2 .The Saturday Practice is being done a little different then the last few practice events. It's being called a TEST & Tune.Looks like you will run morning and afternoon in shorter run groups..This is so you have time to make changes to your car between your run groups.TEST & TUNE.So plan on being there all day.Now I hope Hank will come on and let us know if I got that wrong.

Time to print ,write check and Mail to guarantee your in.only 88 entries will be taken. So WHO's GOING ? I know Tom and Rich plan to be there sunday but not Saturday. They will be at So Cal Challenge that Saturday up north.

To add Jason Roades has a great write up at his thread of his San Diego SCCA Solo2 National Tour race weekend. It's been a longtime sense a top driver and builder Talked composit leaf spring,Watts Link tuning and surface changing adjustments. . a good read at SCCA 67 Camaro

Jason How many runs did you get in the camaro sunday before problems.
Yes it was good to meet you saturday.Hope you can make more local events

i'm getting closer to getting it back together! fabricated my wing uprights today. just within tolerance of SCCA rules at 5" above the roofline (6" is the max).

slowly but surely we're getting it back together, I think next weekend I'll probably be able to fire it up. Just need to change the oil and clean out the fuel system (e85 is really gummy)

OKay so what Good Guys Autocrosser will be at our SCCA SCNAX HOSTED Autocross April 27,28 event..I know some will be up north for So Cal and plan to be at Q stadium on the 28th.

unfortunately i won't, took a major hit with having to pay my taxes to the government this year so that put a small damper on the mod money for the car. I'll have them in a month or two, need to source myself another set of roush wheels as well and considering they're forged aluminum.... they are not going to be cheap.

Still room for more cars to signup for the practice Saturday April 27 The Sunday april 28 Championship runs are open to anyone that show up sunday morning april 28th.You don't have to run in a class to run.You do need to know what class you would run in..So easy thing to do for the new guys with lots of MODs.Is to run in Street Unlimited(SU) together. If you have to know your class you mind as well run in it.

Street Modified (SM) and Street Unlimited (SU) run at same time sunday afternoon. If your just coming sunday and these are the classes you want to run in be there by 10 am.That way your not rushed through , line 1 Membership, then line 2 registration for event, tech and course walk.Ask to make sure your in the right line.It is a little bit like the DMV text # 25 this tread covers pricing.

If your curious to know how many classes a 4 seater muscle car like a Camaro or Mustang ETC can run in.Here you go.

From stock to stripped tube frame racers

(FS,AS,RTR, are stock classes) STX is smog legal engine with some suspension changes,ESP is intake and exhaust manfold changes same suspension mods as STX. SM is any engine same manufacture stock frame any bolt on suspension. You can add control arms and watts link or pan hard bar at rear. All these classes requier interior to be legal.

Classs SU,CP,XP don't require interior and allow extensive frame or full cage support and suspension relocation and cutting of Body Panels with in the car and fender trimming.(ESP does allow fender trimming for bigger tires and lowering also adding of pan-Hard bar/watts).

FS=F-Stock,A-Stock RTR=Road Tire Rear wheel drive STX = Street Touring eXtreme ESP=E-Street Prepared CP=C-Prepared XP=X-Prepared

This is a very stripped down explanation of what's allowed in the classes.

Last weekend I spoke to Nick,Chris, Chad and a few more Local GG autocrossers that haven't done a SCCA event. So if your out there say hello .And sign up for April 27 to get some track time.Track time will get you faster laptimes then buying parts. So no need to wait.

List of april 27 practice racers from GG and PT.com

Alcino 76 Cobra Mustang SM car running in Blue group
Mike 63 Falcon SU or CP car
Brett 1999 Mustang getting serious with the SM mods car...63 Falcon, Brett and Mustang in Green group I think

I'll add to the list here when I know of other GG/PT racers joining the list.,10 spots left before reserve list starts of the 88 limit is where the list is at now.Roughly

Tyler /Fairlane,Rich/Mustang,and Tom will miss the practice but plan to make sunday.Mark's Chevelle and Jason R's STX Classed 67 Camaro are possibly for Sunday the 28.

SM cars can run as SU on sunday

Thanks for posting the link to the practice list Alcino.text before this one

There is a link to the rule book at TEXT 324 this thread. More class info on text #7 of this thread also..It's nothing to fear.If Ladies can come to our event and have fun racing their Toyota Prise for their first event. No reason not to do it yourself...

Signup for saturday April 27 and the 28 schedule is at SDR-SCCA.com/solo

If you respond here We can get you 15 off your membership

Whats the rule size for the splitter in SM..Does it need trimming.?Definity narrower I think just to keep clear of the cones.

Where s the New to SCCA GG guys Tom.I haven't heard from any.. I hope my floppy hat and over sized SCCA National Tour Tshirt didn't frighten them off.I saw Tyler's in car GG video .I looked like a wacky spectator walking up to him at the end of it..

Tyler post the video here! Another great video I saw from Last weekend was Jason R's (J-rho) video and his comments on racing a 67 Camaro in STX class at the Pro-Solo Event in El Toro. Thread SCCA 67 Camaro

If he can he will make our 28 of April event.
