I plan to work saturday then be a Qualcomm SD in the afternoon. It was tempting to be at Adam's SoCal Challenge in the morning and check it out..

I''ll be at the Stadium with Bryce and Stan K..The guy with the Fast green Miata...Maybe you can let us know if his Adam's track record is broken...I saw some fast cars last weekend. If they can get power down as early as possible coming out of the turns .Maybe it could happen..Torque is the only real advantage

I bet you a certain red Corvette can take the track record with a set of slicks. It was embarrassingly faster than everyone this weekend who has been within a second of the record on street tires.

Yes riding in some big V8 powered cars is a thrill. When you hear the growl of the motor and being pushed back in the seat. You know it's time to hang on..It's surprising how well the 200 TW tire stick. When I've tried 200 TW 225s on My RX-7 I would have to counter steer all the way around the track...

I know the sol Cal challenge is next weeekend and so is our next event..We also have one march 16 and 17 ..I'm sure the 16th practice is filling up.. Are any of you guys going?. Big Lot half to 3/4 of a mile 40 ft elevation change. There is info at the site and at facebook on how full it is.

We had the WEST LOT on the schedule for this year...But it was only going to be half the lot...The Open Air Market cancelled their plans of using the other half..So I think we are back to where things were.Full LOT..Yes March 16,17 should be full lot.

Looking forward to seeing you guys this weekend! I know Saturday might be a conflict, but keep showing up to Champs! We want to see more of you guys out there!

Also, consider joining clubs if you haven't already for year-end points!

I saw some good pictures of the So Cal Challenge AMP..I counted 6 from San Diego. I noticed Roy's white and blacked stripped Camaro. He was down running in SD last September.

I heard radiator damage from the fan..and something about stretched or broken motor mounts.I hope it isn't too costly.

I may not be running tomorrow either..Work Truck trouble again..The rebuilt motor I put in last august blew a 2nd headgasket. Now block sealer( Blue Devil) and hope it last till I have time to change the motor again.

After a busy couple of weeks of Autocross ETC.I hope you are all rested up for our next event March 16,17.Saturday 45.00$ for 10 laps practice entry is full.

If your not a SCCA member yet. Trial weekend membership is 20.00$ to enter sunday is a additional 30.00$ for 4 laps . Street Modified and Street Unlimited cars run in last run group 5th work 4th.Last event we had time for fun runs.So I'm thinking we may have time for them again.( Fun Runs=time at end of schedule to do 3 laps for 5.00)
We have 9 more days of autocross from now till end of june.5 on the West Lot and this doesn't include the SCCA National Tour.. 3 days for that.So become a member and spend more time autocrossing.Expect 10 days plus second half of year(More on the West Lot I hope).

I know we have 4 Camaros out there wanting to run.Charlie,Gregg,Matt and Ron who I haven't met..Come On Down! and Roy and Jake making 6

To add.. The 20.00 trial weekend membership is taken off the price of a full membership if you sign up within 30 days.

March 3rd results are up at SDR-SCCA.com/solo2 You'll notice top finishers in SM were faster the cars in P1-XP,BP,FP,CP but Tighter fast laptimes in P1..This is the kind of stuff people look at when picking a class.

For drivers from PT we had Rich,Mark and Bryce. Was a busy weekend for same who did So Cal Challenge the day before.

Looks like Bryce had a 55.1 and Mark a 55.3, both very good times on that tight, tricky course. Both these guys keep getting smoother and faster every time I see them. I personally slowed Rich down this time not with driving tips but with some leftover rear tires from the "Tom can't keep a car pointed forward" collection, seen here in video...

If you ever get a chance to run Falken RT615 (Not the "K") maybe its best not to (sorry Rich!).
