The interior is almost done – some in progress shots below including the custom deal we had to do in the no-longer-a-back-seat area:

The seats, door/side panels, A-pillars and roll bar padding are going in this week. Still need to fabricate some aluminum doorsill plates and install. Next up is the fire system, seat belts and window net as well as the push-to-talk switch (for line lock & horns).

After that we still have to install the front roll bar and hardware, front and rear spoilers and braces, chassis alignment and some miscellaneous wiring. Also re-doing the Lexan windshield as the first one does not look right – needs to be “taller” and dive “deeper” into the cowl area. Still needs to go back to the body shop for two small touch ups as well as a complete buff/polish.

Looking to have all of the above done by March 1st which leaves the better part of 3 or 4 weeks to do shake-downs and work out any bugs prior to the Run To The Shore event on April 2nd.

I am jonzing so bad – can’t believe I am this close to actually being done.
Just found this build, and I am blown away....very very well executed and I love it!! When can we see it with the new wheel and tire package, I am absolutely dying to see it!!!

Dirk, you are "drunk with your youth."

It's killing me right now as the car is spending a week at the body shop for spa treatment......

The second its done the Aero's, Lexan and Spoilers go on. Car should have a complete different personality and look then.

Will post pics as soon as I am there.

Technically neither of you "grew up". 25 years later and you're both STILL screwing around with late-sixties camaros.
Scott, I'm looking forward to the unveiling at NJMP. I think those big sidewall tires will tough it out perfectly.

      Hey Scott,

Are you ready for next weekend???

Are you waiting for the big reveal at the event or can you post some pictures of the finished product?

Did you happen to get any pictures of the car with the Aero wheels on it yet?

I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IT!!!

Ray & Amir - Here ya go!

The last "in progress" pictures to be posted on PT!

Still feverishly working on last minute punchlist items. Wrenches are turning on the Camaro as this is being written. Spoilers go on last.

So many details. I repeat so many details to get finalized prior to hangin' 10 on the road course at NJMP.

After RTTS next weekend I am planning on putting together a picture portfolio of the FINISHED car, covering all bases.

(Note to the below pictures - we actually are changing the rear wheels - wheels in photo have 5.5" back space - switching it up to 6" to bridge the gap from the 8" wide front wheels and 10" rears.)

Looks cool. Are the large diameter Rally's going to be your cruising wheels?
