Car is looking really good. Look like you are making some good progress. I showed my wife the picture of your son in the car and she said, " That almost looks like our son in your car" I was like yup. I look forward to getting my little guy out there in the garage working on the "Hot Rod".

I hear ya! Can't wait to go to some show with him in the car. I just hope I can get it finished up soon enough that he can enjoy that in his youth! He loves being out in the garage and playing with the tools!

Update... received my Alston G-Link from Frank the other day. Now I'm all set for my last bit of welding on the body. Need to weld in the subframe connectors, G-link brackets and seat pans along with a couple misc. minor touch ups. Hoping to get it over to the welders tomorrow night. After that will be seam seal then off to the Line-X shop for undercoating.... Wow, and soon to be a roller! Downhill battle after that point. Can't wait!

Also got some accessory running gear on the motor as well.... Have a nice harmonic balancer for it but don't have it on yet. Also need to lightly notch the left valve cover for alternator clearance.

Looks good, I'd like to see how much work that G-link is to install.

I'll take some pics... going to get the frame rail mounts prepped and ready for weld tonight if I have time. From looking through the instructions it'd be no problem for someone that can weld and has a welder... I have neither so I need to prep it and run the shell up town to a buddy of mine's shop. Everything looks pretty straight forward. The worst part of it will be having to shave down the axle housing leaf mounts for the new G-link mounts.

Great looking group of parts that you have there. The rendering looks awesome and it is nice to hear that you are getting close to being a roller. Keep us posted.

Nice work. You have a bunch of sweet parts there. Those lower bars for the four link look really stout. I have the air ride G bar but it doesn't have bars like those.

Wasn't too bad Ryan. Just lining up the main brackets on the rear end was something you had to be careful with. Don't have a photo of the rear end yet but here's the brackets mounted on the body. The shell is getting welded up at a shop uptown right now so will get more photo's when I get it back.

Thanks!.. yes those bars are beefy. I like the solid joints vs the poly bushings.

Been awhile but here's some good updates... Rear suspension and final welding was completed. Got the underside fully seam sealed. Took it up town today to the Line-X shop and got er undercoated.

Dougs Headers..... motor very close to complete. Sold my modified LS1 pan to get a Autokraft pan. Still need harness, PCM and fuel rails.

Wow you have made some serious progress since I last saw your car.
      The underside looks great.
Good decison with the undercoating IMO for your intended use..

Once it is a roller you will be really motivated!

That lining is BAD BASS Buddy. Wish I could have done that. The only thing I will regret through this whole process is not getting my car on a rotisserie. Great progress. Keep it coming.

The line-x looks fantastic. I was thinking about doing the same with my project. I already spoke to my local line-x dealer, and they'll do it for a decent price. My only concern is the heat from the exhaust. Did you consider this? If so, any idea how the line-x will hold up? I assume the exhaust will never get hot enough to cause any harm. I'd just hate to redo everything because it melted.

      Project looks great!
