Buddy, I just read through your thread and your car is looking real good! What are you planning to do for coil mounting? The reason I ask is we manufacture some trick billet coil mounts for LS2, 3, and 7 coils that allow you to neatly relocate the coils anywhere that is convenient such as firewall, lower frame rails, etc. If they look like something that you could use, maybe we could do some trading. I could use a couple good renderings of my project 67 Camaro to try out some stripe and wheel options. If you are interested, shoot me a PM.
      Thanks,
      Joe

Some minor updates. Was able to get some more items installed and assembled. Picked up a rebuiilt heater box with new heater core, got the tank installed and started installing the fuel lines. Need to finish routing the fuel lines in the rear to the tank.

Main goal now is getting to the point of getting the motor started. As of last night the subframe is bolted back up to the body. Need to button up a lot of wireing yet, get some gauges and sensors, plug wires and battery/battery cables.

Tight tollerance areas, the header is just touching the steering box. Not sure what to do here other than milling a couple degrees off the backside of the header flange. Also passenger upper control arm dosn't have much clearance. Has about 0 degrees camber, going to be an issue when putting a few degrees of camber in it.

Since it is always so easy to spend other peoples money I will suggest aftermarket UCA's and a more compact steering gear. I know it isn't probably anything you haven't heard, but I think both would remedy your ailments handily and offer additional benefits to the build.

While it is sooooo easy to have "scope creep" but I feel these would be worthwhile additions to your project if it can be funded.

Ironically enough I've been eyeing ridetech's front end kit that includes UCA's, LCA', spindle and shocks... but will probably wait until the car is in the complete stage. I'll have to check into the steering box. Would rather catch it now than pull it apart later.

Here's a photo of the motor and subframe mounted up to the car. Also got my coil mounts bolted up. Still plan on painting the valve covers. Just still trying to get final few items to get the motor fired up hopfully soon.

Still trying to get some loose ends tied up. Started running cable for batter and such. Also just got ahold of a hub for the steering column.

Hey Buddy, where did the steering wheel hub come from? We need something similar to that for one of our projects.
      Thanks, Tom

Another little update. Gauges were delivered this past Friday! Went with Speedhut. Mounting the Tach and Speedo in the original gauge pod.

Buddy, did the plates for the gauges come from Speedhut too? If not, where?

Thanks! I'll need to run by your shop sometime this spring/summer

Picked up some angle rings to mount the small gauges and took a couple more degrees out of them. The '68 dash as such a slant to it I needed a good angle to be able to see them. They are still borderline but won't really know until I get a seat mounted in the car. The temp gauge I'm going to do a pillar mount so that it is right in front of my face.
