WOW! sorry to see the damage on the last motor. I have enjoyed reading this thread and seeing all of the updates. Nice to see that you scored a newer motor.

      truck arm

How well does that truck arm suspension work ive seen it used for bagged cars and trucks but not for a road race set up. I know nascar uses a version of this setup I was thinking of going the torque arm route but i allready have the truck arms my floor and frame raills are in good shape but looking at your ride makes me want to get out the body saw

Alot of people said it wouldn't work for AutoX or road racing.I really like it, the car seems to stay flat in the corners and the ride is still pretty good. Once I get the bugs out of the rest of the car, it should be pretty competitive. Ron

IMHO, One downside with truck arms is if you want to run the exhaust out of the back of the car, you have to get creative with the exhaust routing. Ron kept his high and has his exiting out in front of the rear tires.

      Does that thing

come with the snow plow option? What did you tell me...the snow was up to your chest outside the garage?

Glad you were comfortable enough with your sexuality to paint "your junk" (the car) blue. It really pops in pictures and real life!

Since you are waiting for the snow to clear to get your parts, why don't you post a couple of pics of the Jeep you did for your daughter?

I just went through your whole build and enjoyed seeing your progress.
Well done, and it looks like a very fun car!

      Hey Ron,

My daughters Jeep has about 10 peices of snow removal equiptment in front of it, at a buddy of mines shop,I couldn't get to it if I wanted. I'll post some pics as soon as i get it out. Ron

Started assembly of my LS7 tonight, cried like a girl about paying $200 for ARP rod bolts, especially when I saw how small they were. The ARP's are giant compared to the GM pieces,as long as I don't have a repeat of RTTH's it was worth it.

Short block only had 2900 miles but after installing the new cam, noticed the chain was kind of loose, should be able to pick one up tomorrow, and have the long lock completely assembled.

Check out the bore difference compared to an LS1 piston.

SWeeeet!!! You read Popular Hot Rodding by any chance? They called you out almost by name saying there were almost no budget pro-touring cars. Though I guess your budget has grown a bit, I still think you should send em a picture!

The car got rushed together last year for the PSMC, and just never looked back, alot of unfinished peices. To be truthful, I never really thought this car was clean enough to be magazine worthy, its a 20 footer.

Maybe this year I'll clean up some loose ends, so it doesn't have that bucket of bolts, duct tape look, and see if any Mags are interested. Ron
