Tuning was a breeze, this is a street car - I hve about 700 miles on the MS800 so far so good
I thank you for that info. After much research it seems like the Meanstreet 800 will be the best choice.

      FiTech Systems

I just installed a GoEFI Power adder system on my car over the weekend. I used a phantom stealth in-tank fuel pump and hardlines between the pump and throttle body. I made connections using AN fittings and push lock hose. Overall the fuel system was the most labor intensive. The GoEFI system was easy. A few wire connections and I was ready. I have a medium built 406 in my 69 Camaro. I'd like to say it fired on the first crank, but I found that I had to push the accelerator to get it to fire. After it fired and ran, I realized the idle was set too low. After a dusting the use speed screw, it did great. I've been driving around the neighborhood and the more I drive, the better it gets. I can already tell it's adjusted the "pump shot" for initial hard accelerations when you punch the throttle. The only thing I wish it had was the ability to control torque converter lockup.

Can someone supply a part number for the corvette regulator that will allow fuel to return back to the tank. The least amount of lines going forward the better. Thanks -

I installed my FiTech 600 HP system on my '65 Beaumont this past week, as well as a Tanks Inc with the 255 in tank pump and Earls Pro convoluted hose with AN fittings from tank to EFI unit and back. Bought 33' of the Earls hose and have 2' left over. Once I had everything hooked up and in place I turned the key, it fired then died, then fired right up. I backed it out of the garage and let it run for half hour. Took it for a good run tonight. The throttle response is great, feels like it has a lot more power and the idle is much smoother, although the pedal is very stiff. I need to put a few more miles on it before I give it a five star review, but so far so good. Very impressed. I chose the Tanks Inc setup after hearing many horror stories about the FCC. I'm glad I did although the fuel system took way longer than the actual FiTech installation.

Size: 262.0 KBYes I am using an HEI distributor, I also have a DeWitts aluminum radiator with dual electric fans that work fantastic so opted not to use the fan control either.

I've found similar starting habits with mine. I've only put about 20 miles on it, but it seems to have a hard time firing. once it is running it's great. The idle is perfect, it feels like it has more power and it definitely running a lot smoother. I am very impressed with the FiTech 600 EFI system. I talked to tech support about adding more fuel on startup but haven't actually adjusted of tested that method yet. I may need to adjust the idle speed screw as well.

Mine has been starting great. Initially, the idle speed was set too low. It would crank and try to fire, but never would start. I pressed the accelerator and it fired right up. When letting off the accelerator, idle went down to 400-500 rpm and my car wasn't having it. A couple turns of the idle speed screw and starting it back up, put the idle around 850-950. Now it starts without pressing the accelerator at all. The more I drive the better it gets. I'm definitely glad I went with the in tank fuel pump. It's very quiet and has been good at low fuel levels.

I'm loving the reviews these things are getting.

Anyone have any trouble with a drop-base air cleaner not clearing the sides and/or linkage?

I read somewhere that this could be an issue.

Anyone using the corvette fuel filter combo having trouble with larger fuel pumps? Was reading in the latest super Chevy that the regulator/filter combo my not be compatible with with the larger pumps?

I had to use two 90 degree AN fittings (one on supply and one on return) angled down toward the engine to clear my drop base air cleaner. A straight fitting put the fuel lines in conflict with the drop base. Also, my bolt on 2004r bracket (for the throttle valve cable) was a tight fit, but it worked. I had to enlarge a bolt hole slightly and had to rotate the throttle to get the bolts through the holes. Nothing serious, just not as much clearance as on the Holley carb.

Good to know! If I do use one of these it will be nice to know where to focus my efforts, because its going to have to use a dropped air cleaner. Thanks!

45's off the inlet and return didn't clear my drop base air cleaner. Had to use 90's as well.

That is a good point, I didn't even try straight or 45s, I wanted 90s just because I like the way it looked and my air cleaner worked fine but that is a very good point for those who may be considering this setup.

      help with New setup

Hello everyone. I am looking g for some help with my set up.
      Brief outline
1969 Camaro with a BBC502 with Dart heads and a low rise twin carb set up and running a 5 speed Richmond trans.
      So here is the question.
I just bought the new FItech twin carb set up 1200hp version. I need a pump now and regular. I have a Rick fuel tank with a -10 feed line and a -6 return already.
What pump and regular is everyone running with the FItech and has anyone used there Surge tank?
      Thanks you in advance

Fitech has a built in regulator, no need to buy one.

There's two options for getting fuel to your motor, buy an in-line pump, filter and run it to the fitech or use their surge tank which has some mixed reviews.

Or see if Rick's Tanks can covert your existing tank to efi.

I was thinking I could modify the sending unit with a new intake Bosch 044 or with the Radium surge tank with a internal pump in there.
The FItech fuel regulator on the carb or in the setup On board Computer?

I have their surge tank and I love it. About 700 miles in and no problems.
