For $995 I'll give it a shot. I think I'm going to pair it with a Tanks in tank pump and tank.

You can connect the handheld to your pc to power/view/familiarize yourself with all the settings. The touch screen was a nice addition.

No program Scott...just plugged it into the pc to power it up so I could view all the settings. It will be spring before I have it installed as I'm in the middle of painting the El Camino atm.

Depending on the use of the car the corner pickups may not be needed. Unless competitive driving on road courses at super-low fuel levels is needed then the corner pickups are not needed. The jet pumps in the fuel module will still provide the best fuel delivery of any system under aggressive driving conditions still and drain the tank dry.

When used top of tunnel ram or dual quad , how the two units sync each other?

Watching this thread with great interest. I'm making a phone call Monday. To me this type of fuel injection is a game changer to the industry. Granted a wet manifold is not as efficient as a dry manifold system but that is where the complexity comes into play. I see many older cars that people can't get to run right on today's gas. The price point is going to wreak havoc in the market and I see Holley being in catch up mode before the Sniper is even released.

      Following this system too.

Anyone knows when Fitech will upgrade the O2 sensor from Bosch 4.2 version to 4.9 version?

I heard it might be coming during January?

My understanding is that 4.9 was superior due to different reasons but I am far from being an expert. What do you guys think? Worth the wait ? Or would you go with the 4.2?

      2 quick questions also:
      - fuel command center? Or efi-gas tank? Love the simplicity of the FCC but I'd like to have your view.
      - I have an HEI distributor and no MSD box. While the system can connect and work fine, do you think I would be missing some nice function? In that case I may consider changing the distributor if needed.

      Thank you for your comments.

After reading everything whats been said here and on a corvette forum, I have decided to take the plunge and get the Go EFI 4. The crap Edelbrock carb i have right now has just cannot function in the cold, and the flat spot at low RPMs has actually become a safety concern, stalling out in intersections.

I bought it directly from FITech (and not JEGS or Summit or wherever) to let them keep the markup. Its my way of supporting American small business!

(Now i just can't wait for the FedEx ground to show up - was hoping to have it this weekend to have plenty of time to swap over, but looks like I will have to wait till Monday for it to arrive. I'll just keep driving that sh!tcan Edelbrock till then...)

I couldn't agree more. And personally, I find it a little insulting that they tried to drop the Sniper system on us, the consumers, AFTER FITech stepped into the game.

I have not heard about any O2 sensor upgrade in the works so I can not comment. I also have not heard anything negative about the current sensor.

I bought the Fuel Command Center. My thoughts were along the lines of what if...I can throw an old Q-jet in the smugglers box of the El Camino and if all went to hell for some reason or another I could swap out for the carb with minimal effort and continue on my way. One could not do so with the high pressure pump back at the tank.

I would not buy a MSD box just for the sake of having one...can't see a benefit in reality.

Nice system , I will be ordering a FITECH 8 injector unit with the command center very soon. I have been in contact with FITECH and know they are going to the Bosch 4.9 sometime in the first quarter of this year which is a better O2 sensor , more accurate and more reliable over time. I was going to run the FITECH timing control with my HEI by removing the module but decided to install an MSD digitital 6 plus for hotter spark and more adjustability, timing retard and 2 step rev limiter . I like the fuel command center because I can feed it with my mechanical fuel pump and also feed the fuel solenoid for my 150 shot nitrous system with the lower fuel pressure it requires.

I started installing my new fuel set up today, only had a few hours to work on it though. I have: GoEFI-8, Aeromotive Tank set up with pump/hanger, new -6 lines/an fittings, Aeromotive Fuel filter, and misc new stuff..

I will keep an eye on the Aeromotive fuel tank set up, due to some people mentioning they have had heating issues. I have ran 3 of these pump on 1 hanger in one of my Supras making 1300whp also 1 of these pumps feeding a surge tank for my 1400whp GTR. Both of those I have not had a problem with the Aeromotive pumps having heat issues. But I will still keep an eye on it.

So far I have pulled out the old stuff...tank, lines, pump, filters, Carb (100 miles on a new Quick Fuel carb)...Installed the GoEFI8 onto the intake mani just to see what it looks like so far..Needed to order a few things for the install, wiring harness for fuel pump and new gas tank straps.

Will update back when I have more time to work on the 56, which should be Thursday. Cant wait till I get it all wrapped up.

I'm going to be running my Fitech with an Aeromotive tank. Curious if I need a regulator since the unit has a built in one. For the pump Fitech instructions state that you run the power wire from the pump to the units harness.

The built-in regulator is for the Aeromotive pump inside the canister. Fuel supplied to the Command Center must be regulated to no more than 8psi.

From what I read its says you do not need an external fuel regulator due to the TBI has it built into the unit. But if someone has more info on this we would greatly appreciate it. If we do need a external regulator I need to order one asap.

You do not need one for the high side as it is built into the Command Center. You do however need one to the supply side if your pressure is greater than 8psi. These were designed with the intent that the customer would be utilizing the factory mechanical fuel pump to feed the Command Center thus saving an extra expense. If you utilize a high pressure pump from the tank you will need to regulate it down to 8psi or lower. Most mechanical pumps will not exceed 7psi.
