Mike just sent an email to inform me that the SRiii chassis is ready. Looks like it still needs the stainless tank and rotors installed, but damn, that is a sexy looking chassis!!! Can't wait to see this work of art in person!

Super bad ASS. I love the look and the chassis as well, it couldn't be a nicer piece. Too bad the body has to cover it up though...

Should i install a rear floor made of lexan? That would be interesting. I have to cut it out anyway and could easily do a clear section.

That chassis looks amazing good choice. I am a bit upset you took a real split window but oh well finding donors are not easy today. Cant wait to see it finished.

It was missing its original engine and drivetrain, had been changed to a non original color(inside and out), had custom carpet, etc., so it was the perfect donor. There wasnt much original about it, even the hood had been changed. The car will be more original on the outside when i am finished since I replaced the 65-66 Big block hood with the correct 63 hood and I am installing the correct rockers instead of the non correct sidepipes. Sidepipes were not an option until 1965 and they do not look right on 63 or 64 cars in my opinion. Minus the wheels, this car will appear as it did rolling off the factory line. I wouldn't use a car that had its matching number components or was properly restored. Originally Posted by CTSV

The passenger door stuck up a good bit above the body and no amount of adjustment in the hinges would help. I had to sand the top of the door down to get proper fitment. The gap was wide at the front, so i had to narrow it as well.
After testing the effectiveness of the top weatherstripping, i decided it was not necessary for this car and smoothed the jambs. I washed a 66 without the top piece in place and no water went inside the car. The drip channels work very well at channeling water away.
I finally have the front half of the car and engine bay in Epoxy Primer. The rear half and doors aren't far away, but i still need to sand more and prep the hinges. The hinges are currently soaking in degreaser.

If your going the chrome route I think a Lakester type wheel would look more period correct
