Are you running the ridetech Truturn system, Geoff? Car is looking good and you are making some serious progress. I wanna see a wide shot of the car showing off her new stance

Yes sir - I am running the whole ridetech setup including the TruTurn. Thanks for the input! Here's the profile pic as requested:

That's my little helper posing in the picture. She loves "Daddy's race car" I still need to clearance the front fender wells. I'll drive it to work tomorrow so I'll find out if I need to make any height changes. I found out Saturday that it rubs going into the local Amoco with the whole family in the car but there's another entrance I can use and not rub in the future.

No problems rubbing so far. It's time to go find a place to do a little spirited driving to see if I can coax one of the front tires to rub.

I've been working to prep the car for the autocross at the Summit Racing Motorama next weekend. Got a new power steering pump finally. I'm going to plumb in a large cooler to help keep it cool this time. Hoping it helps the pump to last this time! I also started the Holley fuel system installation this week. I got the new fuel rails on and plumbed to the regulator. I'll finish both tomorrow and also plan to do some minor clearancing on the front sway bar to prevent further tire rubbing. I've also got to reset the pinion angle because I lowered the car a little more. With that done, it should be ready to go.

Power steering changes are done and almost done with the new fuel system. Busy day today so no time for work until later tonight...hope I can get it done. I'm ready to drive it before next weekend. Gotta have time to see if there are any problems that need to be corrected.

I drove it tonight. The new stance is so dramatic...I just can't describe the positive difference the few changes I've made have had in the car. If I could get a decent alignment done on the car, it would drive absolutely great. It's already leaps and bounds better than it was so I can't imagine the difference a good alignment would make.

by lowering the stance you have improved the roll-center and the car will handle better and will get less upset during transitions

It certainly did Rodney! The car handled better this weekend than it ever has. It was extremely well balanced and after a few clicks of the adjusters on the ridetech coil overs, it turned into a "point and shoot" beast by the end of the weekend! It's actually HARD to make it push now! Amazing how a few changes make all the difference in the world. I'm ready for another event!

I'm planning some big changes for the car starting early fall. I've taken this racing season completely off to take a break, take in some extra family time and just not spend any money on the car. I've been driving it to work and around town a bit. I'm realizing I want to modernize it a bit more so it may be time to make some major changes to the suspension. I'm not sharing details as they aren't worked out yet but be sure to watch the classifieds for a few parts for sale that anyone getting started in PT may be interested in if you're a 1st gen F-body owner.

Wow - it's been a LONG time since I posted anything. My car has gone through a lot of changes since this. Its been on blocks and stands for at least 3 years (probably closer to 4) for a total re-do. New metal all around, fenders, doors, quarters, tail pan. I'm just about to wrap up the final quarter install, hopefully within two weeks (yes, I'm VERY slow). I even refreshed the engine, full rebuild, BTR Stage 2 LS1 cam, 243 heads, new valvetrain, etc, rebuilt the transmission, new driveshaft, new brakes (Z51 Corvette), new front suspension (C5-C7 hybrid), custom subframe by Beach Cruiser Racing (frame #2). Terminator X ECU, TCI interior, new carpet, Dakota Digital guages, DD climate control, power windows and locks and I'm even looking for a push button start kit. It'll be such a completely different car when it's back together. Just writing this gets me excited - it's been forever since I've driven it.
