So I got new ball joints awhile back, The ones I had, had very little movement. Unfortunately this was what happened to everyone of them when I unscrewed them. It almost looks like they had no threads to begin with and were forced in. I had to order new threaded sections for all four joints.

So I cut them apart and installed the new threaded sections and joints, along with a little paint

I was finally able to get somemore done on the rear. I got the swaybar mount in it final location and even tacked the floor back in to see if it all would still fit nicely under it, and suprisingly enough it did

I was able to move the motor mounts back 5" and test fit the motor. Unfortunately Im going to have to cut my front crossmember and bend a section to go around the oil pan so I set the engine down about another 2-3"

I ended up cutting out the trans tunnel more than I would have liked to. But this way everything will tuck under the car nicely

I foresee some more bead-rolled trans tunnel fabrication in this forums future ;)

Looking good man. Way to be brave and cut deep. You'll be happy in the long run.

Yep, these Falcons just don't have allot of room to accomodate must of a trans. At least you have solid floors to build off of.

Lol I agree, there's going to be a lot of bead rolling going on here pretty soon. Just gotta buy the bead roller first.
I have been lucky with the car only having rust in a few small spots. Not bad for a car that came from a Idaho junkyard.

I am happy when I find a part NOT covered in rust.

True, but it you have to have something to weld it back on to.

The engine looks to be sitting in a really good spot now, nice job on setting it back. Building a new firewall and trans tunnel is a big PITA with days (literally) of welding but is really worth it in the end. I went to a local sheet metal shop and had them make me big pieces bent and cut to my specs, was nice to have some big pieces to start with

Thank you. I have been watching your build also checking how you did things, it might not be a bad idea to get some pre-bent pieces

So work on the car has been slow, the weather sucks here right know the wind is blowing 30+ mph, but I did get the tranny mount completed to the other day

I cut some sections of tubing and used factory 93 mustang bushings in them

The rest was bent out on the tubing bender

So here's the finished result. My painting skills apparently suck a little more than I remember but all in all it came out ok
