Dan if that is a tensioner on the drivers side spring loaded it will not work there. Engines rotate clockwise so the tensioner has to be on the slack side of the harmonic balancer. Just a FYI Dang nice fab work. Rod

Yep, it doesn't tension enough I don't think, but that may change this winter if I add a blower

got my exhaust on, cut a large amount off the flange of the bell housing to make it fit. crazy how much engine gaskets can move things around.

made the power steering loop line on the return out of 304ss tube. I needed It to bend 90* out of the rack and pinion. so I had to weld a flange onto the new line.

It is not broke just in the wrong place. The load i.e. alt and powersteering are pulling back overcoming the spring. If you rework the brackets so the tensioner is on the no load side. After the crank taking up slack it will work fine. Think about motorcycle chains to visualize how it works. Or hold the alt still and turn the crank with a bar and you will see no matter the strength of the spring within reason it will slip. If reworking it seems to suck add a bolt so the spring arm cant move and make it a manual tensioner. Rod

I totally understand. had a blonde moment when I was making it. I'm probably going to make it manual so that it stays nice and clean as shown. the whole system changes when I put a D1SC Procharger on it ;)

Finished up my fuel rails and injectors, wired them up and hid the wires

Finished my power steering feed line

And then since my tensioner isn't going to work, I purchased a new one

Dan, Great looking truck. You are very talented. What throttle body are you running and with what engine managment? I looked back through, I'm sure I missed it. I really want to do the same set up on my LQ4 with a 411 pcm. Thank you.

A little work done, 3 more weeks of classes, then finals, then an extreme work crunch for spring.
Paxton Novi 2000 and my dash is coming along slowly!

So since Paxton wouldn't email me back with dimensions OR blower pulley/boost configuration, I had to venture on my own with my Vertical Mill, I machined a gauge pin and did it the old fashioned "go no go" routine with the DRO and blueprinted my dimensions

here is the back side that mounts to the supercharger, im configuring my pulley set up and then making a mechanical tensioner on two pulleys for complete wrap of the blower pulley. as well as somehow fitting a spring tensioner on there for the slack build up under acceleration. I hear 48 ft/lbs is ideal. we will see

so i have the base to my supercharger bracket done. as well as all the tensioners, i used a Dayco spring tensioner for the automatic, as well as a T-nut slide style for my mechanical tensioner, as seen i put a set screw to tighten it up. All of the spacers for the mounts are machined individually to fit each boss. now to design the uprights that reverse mount it to the heads.

punch, drill or cut some sort of hole, then these dies:

they give the metal rigidity, and weight reduction
