I don't see anything wrong with asking when the manufacturer is closed. Maybe there is some trick to the install he doesn't know about.

I'm not getting into a pissing match with you over this, I just think that it is better to keep "problems" between the vendor and the customer....period! unless the customer is out right getting screwed.

Lighten up will you!! I'm only asking if anyone on here has had the same problem with this part!! I'm not bashing the manufacturer but this item is not going to work as advertised and I do plan on letting them know this on Monday!!

Yes, the originals had two studs that were molded to the back of the emblem. These two studs stick STRAIGHT through the grill and than through a plate with two holes in it. Two self threading nuts hold the whole thing together from the rear. The emblem from Marquez is a very nice piece but the problem is that the two studs, when threaded into the bosses on the back of the emblem, stick out at an ANGLE and don't fit through the holes in the backing plate. It seems to me that the two threaded bosses on the back of the emblem need to be at a different angle, allowing the studs to stick straight out the back. I will post on here when I get an answer from Marquez as to what the problem is.
