hope the neighbors dont mind its 10pm lol
ive been on the mill to 1am before. never had a complaint except from the wife. and we all know that doesnt count.... (im just glad she doesnt read this)

I'm hopin to start rippin my 67 nova apart soon, just received my LS2, MN6 and ironing out the final details on my AME rolling chassis
I love this site, learning so much from you guys
that sounds like an awesome start. im also glad guys are learning something from me. i still have a lot to learn, but credit most of what i do know to sites like this.

Very impressive from front to rear.some people don't understand when you are doing everything yourself it's hard to put an extra 20 hours a week in with everything else going on in life.you are doing a great job and glad you got over your illness.you will be cruising soon.
very true. im LUCKY to get 10 hours a week. its been more like 5 recently. and being sick has made me realize how fragile life is and how little western medicine really knows. hundreds of thousands of pages in text books and we are only scratching the surface. im not 100 percent yet and the docs tell me that may take anywhere from 2-5 years and im 14 months in. but they dont fully understand what happened and have no way to treat it. they all just say that theyve never seen a person like me that has had these symptoms forever. its really scary that we're now up to 7 people in my fire department with very similar symptoms. we have 1000 guys, but 7 is still too many.

progress is happening, but its slow. i built the sub box and have started working on the dash. id love to buy one, but money is really tight. just sold my house and bought another. move in date is supposed to be dec 28th..... awesome since the holidays are already busy. the house is twice the size, garage is bigger, still 3 miles from the beach, end of a cul-de-sac, but my lot got smaller. my drive to work also got longer and i had to leave orange county, but in the end it will work out well.

dash should have some good progress in the next few weeks, but then its going to switch to packing and building cabinets. once at the new house its going to be a couple months before i get back on it. my timeline continues to get screwed up, but now the plan is paint in june and hopefully running in a year. its always getting closer, but still seems a long ways away.

If you ever get a chance, I'd be interested in seeing pictures of your home-built 48" metal brake.

well, no updates. the car is still sitting in my grandmas garage while i get the new house done. ive spent the last few weeks working on the back yard and logging 24 hours in a bobcat. once its done, i need to finish installing the 100 amp sub panel, my cabinets and lighting before the car comes back. i did finish the garage floor and it looks sick!

I was hoping to catch an update...
It's hard when houses, yards, and life sometimes conspires against our hobbies..
I wish you luck on the car, I hope the new garage is up and functional.

new garage is almost done. cabinet doors are done, but still need to be painted. front and back yards are also done. it sucks watching all your neighbors putting 50-100k in their land/hardscapes and being done in a month. its taken me a year of my labor and about 15k. insane the amount of work!

[QUOTE=The WidowMaker;610747]i got the pedals and the triple master mounted today. i still need to work on bracing the pedals so i'll have some more pictures in a few days.

the chevelle uses a very good mounting system for both the column and the stock pedals. there is a beefy piece that ties both into the firewall and cowl area making both nice and sturdy. i attempted to use this piece to mount the pedals, but even with most cut away, the pedals didnt sit high enough to clear the column (pedals would clear, but the bias adjuster sits next to the pedal and needed the pedals to sit higher).

so the current plan uses a 3/16" plate on the back of the firewall, along with 3/4 x 1.5" .120 tubing to brace it back to the column mount. this will all take the place of the stock piece. currently, i only have the plate mounted and its sturdy as hell, but i know i will still get some flex. also, since i though i was using the stock mount, i welded the shaved piece around part of the original firewall. since that didnt happen, i had to cut out a section and weld it completely flat. i hope to get the rest done in the next few days.

I know this post is about 5 years ago, but I'm at the point where I'd like to use three MC with a similar brake/clutch pedal assembly. Do you have any picture of how you eventually mounted the pedal assembly with the IDIDIT steering column?

I have the wilwood 3 pedal set up on my 68 chevelle and I modified the firewall then used a 3/16 plate on the outside and modified the stock column mount to work with my ididit column and wilwood pedals.

i "think" the bracket was a 90; it sat horizontal right above the column and then bent and went down the firewall. this kept the old master mounted to one single bracket and not actually mounted to the firewall. since i couldnt attach the pedals to the vertical portion, i cut it off. i left the beefy horizontal piece in place. i then welded a 3/16 plate to the backside of the firewall to take the place of the vertical piece and then welded the tubing from this piece on a 45 to the stock horizontal piece to tie them together. it was a few years back and i havent looked at the car in a while......

i know i keep saying it, but i actually think ill have it back in my garage next weekend. just finished doing all my moulding in the garage and its a lot more organized. still havent finished the cabinet doors, but they arent a huge priority right now.

Car is FINALLY home! No time to work on it in the near future. Hopefully in the next couple months. Somewhat tempted to pay someone to finish it. ......
