      To everyone ...

Good call about overnight camping (or lack thereof ...) at Buttonwillow the night before and thanks for checking into this. Our Thursday early evening feast-a-thon will continue without a hitch as we'll move it to the hotel parking lot or somewhere else off of Hwy 58/5 junction.

So far, I've got Carl and Mike for baked beans and pie. I'll bring the ribs. The motorhome has utensils and pans, plus a microwave for heating anything in. We'll also bring another portable BBQ to keep the ribs warmed.

We still need salad fixin's and dressings, several packages of those Cheddarwurst links, and garlic bread. Perhaps another dessert as we've got a lot of sweet teeth here. Any leftovers can be reheated and hoovered down for Friday's lunch. I'll also bring some sandwich materials (bread, mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, and lunchmeats) for Friday lunch.

If the NCRC does have the track made available for Thursday arrival, then we'll go back to there ...

I'll need a head count by next Wednesday so I can plan for the ribs.

      Cheers,
      Mary Pozzi

I will bring the links and the garlic bread! ... and a dessert of my choosing!

Where are people staying? Is there a way to secure the car at the track or maybe we should all hire a baney fife to guard the cars while we sleep.

Mary: Carl and John are doing the beans and pie. I'll do alcoholic libations (stick with what you know is my motto) and sodas if you can provide a tub and ice. Give me a head count and if folks can indicate their beverage of choice, I'll see what I can do to satisfy what I'm sure will be discriminating palates.

I'm planning on coming down on Thursday also, I will know for sure this Thursday when next weeks schedule comes out. I don't think I want to miss this event and a chance to hang out with everyone so I will most likely call in sick Thurs/Fri.
Maybe someday I will get this car done so I can run in these trackdays when they come up!

I can also bring a Small Weber and I have a few ice chest. I guess we don't have a choice now but to rent a room? You guys think we can get a group rate at Motel 6?

Hey Rupp can I get a ride?

I don't know about group rates, but I'm at the Motel 6 for $34 a night at:

      Hey Jeff,

My enclosed trailer is 28' long and if you don't mind sharing space with the Camaro, feel free to sleeping bag it. I've slept in the front several times and it's pretty comfy. I'll bring the fold out mat and you'll be set.

So ... we have ribs, links, bread, desserts, beverages, and deadly fart beans. Also have two grills and ice chests. I see a replay of Blazing Saddles campfire scene ...

Hopefully, we'll be able to stay at the track Thursday night but if not then we'll go to Plan B and plant the motorhome in the hotel parking lot. We "pack" so it will be a fair fire fight if it gets to that ...

Need a head count by next Wednesday ...

      Cheers,

What are the plans for Friday night? Is everyone going home? I'd like to stay at the track if possible. Clue me in if you can.

We have enough people so that if we do stay at the No-Tell Motel 6 we can take shifts in the parking lot. They have a pool too so perhaps we can invade the pool area with our BBQ's and accoutrements.

      I'm heading home Friday.

If anybody needs a secure location for their car over night I have room for 6 to 8 cars inside my shop and room for some trailers outside the shop. My shop is only about 20 min from the track. I would be more than happy to help you guys out and this would not inconvenience in any way so feel free to hit me up for thurs and/or friday night.

Is this event open to spectators........

My Chevelle collapsed a lifter, besides I will not have time to put in a set of seats and real belts in the car. To add insult to injury my Dads GTO ate a clutch and is screwed up badly so I will have to run down to get it up and running this weekend (Fallbrook). When it rains it pours.

I would be able to attend just not with a car......unless I could rent a racer????? Wonder if I can find a 2010 Camaro to rent.....(hint hint Steve)

I would make a great crew person that pays his own way if anyone needs it. I have a pick up for hauling a trailer if it is needed (from the Los Angeles area).....do I sound desperate I don't mean to sound desperate....OK I AM DESPERATE I need a track fix. Help me PLEASE!!!

We're heading back after the event's over as soon as we can get packed up. There's a two-day autocross at Great America (Santa Clara) on Saturday and Sunday.

You'll have to check with the track to see if camping is okay for Friday night.

YES!!! Come on up and we'll get you some shotgun time (if NCRC allows it). Either way, we'll have some fun and good eats plus tons of trash talk about who's faster. This is very funny. Ask Dave and Dan with the Chevelle/Camaro ... I have video.

As of today, plan on the BBQ for the hotel. If the track does allow us in Thursday and lets us be there overnight, then we'll move there so people can offload cars and trailers. If we can't get in Thursday, then we'll motorhome it in or near the hotel parking lot and keep an eye on our cars/trailers there. It's pretty safe ...

      Mary,

NCRC has allowed passengers at the 2 events I have run with them. If I can get rides in the higher end cars I will be willing make some changes to my sessions as well.

For the barbecue and such I am willing to do the cleanup (dishwashing, pot scrubing, etc..), and I would also like to bring some snacks and water for the trackday.

      Regards
