That's a busy weekend! I'd like to come (which more or less means I'll be there with some arm twisting) but we need to get the OLC out of jail and see how David feels about the whole thing... he might be getting tired right now.

If you/we go Buttonwillow Friday would you/we go AAS Saturday/Sunday? So many questions...

      James,

That is a busy weekend if you run both. It will be good preparation for the One Lap of America competition.

You could use this opportunity to dial in your road course setup. It seems like you've got the Autocross setup dialed in pretty well.

Hopefully you folk's can make it. It won't be the same without you. I would rather get smoked by Camaro's than BMW's and Porshe's.

      Carl,

As I remember the Point By group allows passing anywhere with a point by unless they will do it differently at Buttonwillow. The Solo and above groups are not about speed -as there are very fast folks in Solo- but how comfortable you are with passing and getting passed. If passing everywhere without a point by is a non issue then you can go to the Open group. Although passing isn't a big issue as they space the cars out as they let them on to the track, and they limit the number of cars in a group. There may be zero to two passes per session, and I have not encountered a conga line running with this organization either. The wheel to wheel stuff is reserved for the Race group. I feel very safe with my car with the two events I have run with this organization.

Thanks Curtis. I'll plead my case via email with them and see if they will bump me up.

Have them view your on track video, or the video from James with your car in it. This will set them straight.

One thing to take note of is that the price increases by $15 if you don't get paid up before 11 Sept.

The other two events I've been to they have allowed passengers for thoses wanting to share the fun with others.

      So far we have:

      1. Mary Pozzi
      2. Carl Casanova
      3. Don CurtiSS

Hopefully James and Steve in soon.

I think I roped another friend into going as well.

Willow Springs does not allow passengers, but in the past Buttonwillow has. That would be great!

I might be interested in joining you guys if my schedule allows and you all let in a lowly old Ford to beat up on.

Bring it out Rocco. The Ford count is way too low.

I should be in. I've been busy with prepping the car for my next track day. Trying to get the Tremec and Wilwoods in this next week....

Buttonwillow is my favorite track in CA so far.

I've signed up for the Buttonwillow October 2 event. Where are people staying? More importantly, where will the ribs be Thursday evening?

That's great Mike. I can harldly wait to see your car in person and on the track. I usually stay at the Motel 6 in Lost Hills, but if the Pozzi's are camping at the track I will do so as well.

You'd be better off renting a garage at the track and sleeping in it as well. You'll get more sleep and your car will be safer.
